GDPR and Google Analytics

I don't know what should and if should I include any warnings about cookies/ create privacy policy if I use google analytics and want to make sure that I don't get sued or anything in the future.

In short have a blog with google analytics. Not sure what to do because google collects data via analytics.

Can anyone please give me an overview of what EXACTLY I will need to do if anything is necessary. I googled this and found many people with different opinions.
