Gambling Affiliate website

Hello!

I have affiliate website for casinos and bookmakers review. I started this project without any knowledge in everything. I had no idea about SEO, designing, searching keywords, writing articles etc etc.. I just thought that after i have the website i can easily promote it on the social media with paid ads (where i previously had experience) but it turned out that it's not that easy at all..

I paid quite a lot i think for this website. It costed me somewhere around 2200$, in the meantime i learned a little from everything. I know how to design a basic wordpress website, design pictures, know how to search for a keyword.. So i guess paying 2200$ to learn all this wasn't much

At the moment i don't know what to do.. I am doubting if i should start working more on it or give it to someone that knows what to do with it and work on it. I started it in 2020 and now almost 2 years later i didn't have any great results with it but i am seeing some organic traffic on it. On example last month my total traffic was 50 people (all organic) and each from thise 50 people is from Tier 1 countries ( 60% USA visitors, others UK and Germany)

I had no clue about domains at the start and i probably bought a shitty domain with .club ending...

What should i do with it?

There are multiple things you can do with it:

1. Sell it (Probably won't get you anything, since the site seems to be buried)
2. Try Paid Ads again
3. Try to rank it for certain keywords

If i were you, id choose the 2nd or 3rd option. Make no mistake here. You will need a big budget for sites like this, especially if you wanna compete with the big sites. If you don't have any clue about what you are doing, you could also try to JV with someone who knows what to do. Either someone in the Paid Ads Field or someone in the SEO Field and form a JV with them.

While you can choose any of these options i suggest that you should start reading up on some SEO & Paid Ads Knowledge. That way you can determine if a project is worth pursuing or not and it will most likely save you a couple of bucks in the end.

My rule of thumb if a website doesn't perform as expected:

I keep working & improving it.
I sell it only if I don't have time and/or resources to maintain it.
Abandoning any project is something I never do.

If it doesn't work even after working on it for years I just sell sponsored posts.
There's an huge market where you can sell sponsored posts just because your website has 23+,30+,40+ SEO score on some popular SEO tool.

Another option is I put the site on automation mode (autoblog).
