Hi,

I' m thinking about G analytics, I moved to Histats after the first "Big Hit" of Panda.

Now I'm building links with software but in a way to stay under the radar (anchor text diversity, platform diversity, nofollow+********).

Is it be dangerous if I revert back to G analytics?

I'm not buying traffic, so I don't have that kind of problem. And G (as everyone of us know) already know the bounce rate, so remove analytics only for bounce rate is not a right choice. Is there any other reason why I don't switch back to G?

Thanks!

PS: Sorry for my bad english!

normally i don't use g analytics. i prefer to use my own hosted analytics solution like piwik. i have total control on my information, and i prefer to let G just know about my sites through their crawler....

Yes, I'd use some own or 3rd party tracking stats for that kind of sites.

I was about to ask the same question. It makes more sense to keep G in the dark with BH sites. As mentioned, use it for WH sites instead.

It hardly matters that whether you place G analytic or not, in any case google will find out about your site and its performance. Lets say even if you don't have G analytic installed on your site but you got adsense on them, still it works same as G analytic for google and it passes out all the information about your site to them.

So if you have installed any script on your site that belongs to google, they will come to know about your site's performance. So its baseless saying that if you don't have G analytic installed on your site, you can hide things from google.

Thanks

i like google analytics, and i would never change it. If you got nothing to hide, then this is the best.

If you are doing blackhat, and building any type of link is blackhat, why would you give Google any more data then you have to?

Considering Google is trying to takeover the internet, the last thing you want to do is make it easier for them by giving them the key to your websites.

It definitely matters if you use G Analytics or not. If you're not using any Google products on your site (i.e. Analytics and Adsense) then they have FAR less information on your site - all they can do is very roughly estimate stuff like traffic, referrers, bounce rate etc. from toolbar data, click back to the serps etc. If you have Analytics installed then you are giving you all the data they could ever desire about your javascript-enabled traffic.

G has claimed that they won't use Analytics data for ranking sites, but as we all know they are routinely full of shit. Using G Analytics in combination with blackhat tactics is a Bad Ideaâ„¢.

Would you invite the cops over to your house which also doubles as a meth lab?

Same thing with GA. You stay away from the "authorities" that you're gaming as much as possible. Common sense.

How about ecommerce sites that are not using adsense, have a low bounce rate and cool traffic sources.

If G does use Analytics and you have little to hide, are you shooting yourself in the foot by not using it?

I don't think you would be negatively affected by not using GA. Other than you do not get to take advantage of the adwords/adsense integration.

Personally I think you guys relying on GA are mistaken in your belief it is more accurate. Your best bet would be to analyse both awstats and GA if they are available. Depending on the niche in question a 35% discrepency in your statistics is something to laugh at, it also throws out your conversion rates as well.

Just because its pretty doesn't mean it is any good.

Never use Google services! Never! Not even on WH sites.
For traffic stats use Piwik.

Use G Analytics only when you are planning to sell your website. Buyers always ask for g stats. If not then go for piwik

Don't forget that other affiliates can find your decent niches by reverse engineering your sites. The giveaway? Yep, the Google Analytics/Adsense code!
