Thoughts after watching Mark Zuckerberg yesterday? The US goverment is really starting to get involved and if he doesn't make the changes they're demanding and stop using the "We made a mistake" excuse, who knows what will happen.

This is also more than just election and politics. I'm talking about the future AI automatically deciding what people want to see or not see, biased content reviewers and content being blocked because it's against their community standards (even if it's NOT) just because someone got offended by it.

A whole lot of other things too. Just seems like they're gonna be going down that route of just censoring everything to keep people happy, more than what they're already doing.

its an emotional kneejerk reaction

congress asking zuckerberg questions is like a parent asking their teenage kid to explain what is snapchat and why do they use it

What biz ? Selling personal data for profit ?
Nowadays I even have 2 clients (making like 5 million a year ) who explicit don't want to spend any money on fakebook pages.

All thar SMM is just scam for ex housewives posting all day for companies.

SEO / SEA that's where money is made sales that converts
 
Even if it ends, he now has a lot of money in addition to his skills to start something bigger. :)
 
They made a lot on the news here about a part where he says there will always be a free version of FB (as opposed to FB always being free). Suggesting a paid model might come or some payments to unlock parts maybe.

The paid version of facebook is the one advertisers use.

People have hundreds of those so unless they tap into the respective Governments' databases that is material for late night comedy shows.
 
Facebook ain't going to disappear soon!

They've diversified their tech investments incredibly well.

I read somewhere recently that Zuckerberg could well easily burn through $3 mil per day, for the rest of his natural life and still have a massive pile left over.

Personal wealth of ridiculous proportion.
