Hey guys!
I'm writing about the future of blackhat marketing and methods, not really the community. The community has taught me many things, for which I'm grateful (I know, still a newbie). However, I have some concerns about this topic.
First of all, we can all witness the huge explosion of AI and the intense development of filtering algorithms. Most of the big tech companies we want to outplay are getting better and better at detecting "malicious" behavior, and I feel like it’s only going to get worse from here.
I’ve summarized the status of social media platforms I have experience with. Please take this with a grain of salt:
Google SEO: Mostly, white hat stuff is what's recommended, even here. Most people say blackhat techniques aren’t worth it, and if they are, they probably aren't found here. Old-school techniques like PBN, tech SEO wizardry, etc., are a thing of the past now and don’t work wonders. In fact, they usually harm your operations in most cases.
Reddit: Not much going on, other than more accounts getting banned than before. Pretty democratic I would say.
TikTok: They’re very good at filtering content and predicting user intent. It has a geo-location lock, which is pretty hard to break consistently. Also, it’s impossible to say how much effect the algorithm has on your views.
Instagram and Facebook: I don’t have much experience here. I’m curious to hear from you.
I’m afraid that within a few years, most of the methods discussed here will stop working, and it’s going to get harder and harder to find ways to escape the algorithm. Are you guys afraid of a totalitarian society ruled by tech giants?
What’s funny is that I always do whitehat stuff, but I can’t do my job without coming here for info, due to the growing limitations and regulations.
