I did it in Agust, 2021.
But the tactic still works (I still use it), because if your website is indexed before GitHub, the content will be unique and the contents won't be spam.
When a lot of people report your website to Google, then google takes action and apply manually penalty

I used Adsense and still using it.
I applied for Adsense with existing content (GitHub) and I got approved. In fact, I got many approvals for GitHub clone websites

I dont remember the exact number but around 2M
How many github clones you have now? Are they getting traffic?
I have 3. Yes, there is traffic but not good. I have an indexing problem and need to update temples to get rid of the page speed problem.

You can't find not indexed content, but you can use github api to search repositories. I was fetching random repositories and their issues, if the issues are created in the day, I used these issues.
Also if someone visits the repo or repo issue on my website, I was updating the issue and checking if there are new issues for the repo or not. thus I was keeping up to date repo issues.

Are you using instant indexing api? If not, I could help you to test indexing with it.( I have huge limit for instant indexing)
For repo I dont copy any text, just keep repos' statistics
for issues, I copy everything (questions and answers).
