I just checked OP's site and the issue is with the redirect. In his case, http://www.example.com/examplepage is not redirected to https://www.example.com/examplepage so google will see it as duplicate content and drop rankings for both the version. Fixed the issue now and the site is perfectly redirecting to https.

Thanks or actually showing the solution FBGuru. I`m sure others will have the same problem when switching to https. I had a similar problem not too long ago with it as well.

Don't forget to also tell us if you actually gained rankings with the switch to https.

UPDATE:
Just checked now, my site is back to #2 on Google.
Think all this would not happen if I configured 301 redirect the right way, don't know if its too early to say but no rank gain from https, same #2 spot as before.

It dep migrated from http to https without a nitice to seo dep, and we have not noticed any difference. Google changed main url without any redirects or anything else. Can you show any place where they say that site with http and https are cosidered as different sites?
