From 0 to 50k Facebook fans!

Ok so this is my first journey thread on the forum. I was going to look into paying for posts on large fan pages to push traffic to some offers but after having a look around the forum I decided I would just make my own. Pages in the same niche have a lot more fans than 50k but I think that is a reasonable size page and want to set it as my initial target.

I have been using Instagram to post similar images and planned to expand to Facebook at some point and that time is now! I also plan to expand to having a website with the same name.

I wont be paying for any likes or any Facebook ads and it will all be organic traffic that I will get from manual promotion of page and as I mentioned before, it will be used to drive traffic to offers once the following is big enough.

I will post and update once every 24 hours showing how many new likes I get and roughly outline how I've spent my time working on the page. I don't plan to spend anymore than 1 or 2 hours a day on this at the moment.

People will start to ask what niche I am targeting. I am not going to tell you what my page is but a big clue is 'sex sells'. What I am doing could work for any active niche though.

That is all for now. I am off to get the page created and start promoting it.

Update 1

I got the page created, posted a few images and commented on some photos in the same niche as my page and liked some other peoples comments.

I started the page with a new login but then forgot that standalone pages don't have the search at the top and also commenting on other pages doesn't seem to work so I had to add myself as an admin.

The page has only be live around 10 hours but I plan to update at this time everyday so I though I would post an update even though it hasn't been 24 hours yet.

Hey, good luck on your journey. I'm planning on doing something similar, except I'm using Tumblr instead of instagram and plan on expanding to Facebook too. I'm very interesting in seeing what kind of results you get!

Glad to see some interest in my journey! The website I mentioned will be tumblr on my own domain so we're basically working in reverse.

Basically commenting on pages in the same niche. I'll post more detail in my next update but that is it so far.

Will do! I'll post everything I have done so far in my next update. I'm doing nothing groundbreaking or new but it's working well.

Might wanna try add your site in traffic exchange websites? You gain some people there. Most of the time 50% doesn't stick around but still it's something right?

Yeah I'll be mixing up the tactics in a bit but the page is pretty much 24 hours old and I haven't got a great deal of time on my hands at the moment. I plan to stick with a one thing for a couple of days then gradually add more and more traffic sources as time goes on.

Update 2

Everything has been going okay so far and the likes are coming in which is good. Going to continue with what I have been doing and hopefully reach my goal soon! I am going to set an interim target of 1000 likes as the 50,000 is a long way off at the moment.

I am in a rush this morning so will edit this later detailing what I have actually been doing.

I was going to edit my previous post but I thought I'd just post what I have been doing so far and a couple of tips that maybe helpful.

Method

As I said in previous posts all I am doing is commenting on the photos of other pages in the same niche. When I post I am not posting a link to my page, it is just a response to the picture like any other person would.

Some pages allow others to post on their wall and in these cases I will post something short for people to see.

I am also liking some people's comments on the photos I comment on so that they will be notified and may check out my page. I am not liking every single comment though, just a couple now and again.

That is pretty much it for what I have done so far. I did find a couple of pages that were sharing other pages when I was looking last night so I will contact them and hopefully get them to post a link to my page.

Tips

Look for active pages. I've been posting on pages that regularly post so that they have a lot more people coming to them and can see my posts.
If someone has posted a question on a page, interact with them. Don't just spam pages with your link. The posts that I made replying to others usually get a few likes.
The most important I would say is have good content! Don't start posting until you have a few things posted on your page. If people come to your page and see you have no content, there is no reason for them to like it. Also, post regularly so people can like it and come back to your page.

That is all for now. My method will be staying the same as above for now but if I have any more tips I will post them with my daily updates.

So I just continued doing what I outlined above. Posted a few pictures throughout the day and commented. Nothing new so far.

Nice thread! Back to basics, I like it.

What would be very cool is a ubot that could handle fan page promotions just like what you are doing.

Yeah something that you can plug a load of page url's into and you goes off and does everything would be good.

So I got a similar increase as the last update which is okay. I didn't to work on the page as much as I had internet problems for most of the day and I couldn't access Facebook. I'm having similar trouble at the moment so wont get much done on the page today either which isn't great.

I had created page too then i had not got likes from that as you had told. then i had bought fan from a person in skype . he had given me 100k real fan in 1 days now my fan page look very good and i had make much money from it.
He charge me 500$ for 100k likes in the rate of 5$ per 1k
And a Very next day i had sold my fan page to another person for $1000
$500 Profit in one day
