The main idea is to get really cheap outsourced to DP wordpress templates with my targeted anchored link in the bottom. and then submit it to the many free wordpress template sites.

hxxp://www.wordpress.org/extend/themes/

hxxp://www.allmythemes.com

and I've been using this list for most of em:

There you have it. If you have any recommendations or improvements to this. that would rule.

Remember to make the templates relevant for your niche, If you're selling weight products, make weight or nutrition templates, that way there is a bigger chance of weight blogs or sites actually using it.

Cheers and I hope this will help you guys.

does this work ? i thought most of the people using the themes just remove the link

Yeah, there are many ways to make the link very hard to just remove and the people downloading templates probably do not have the skills to edit templates at a high level. ;)

Oh, and btw.. I wouldn't have to outsource anything since i'm actually a designer. I'll just have to come around to trying this technique.

I've used it 6 times to build a good amount of links, so I hope it will work for you guys.

check out webhostinggeeks.com, they bought wordpress links from different theme designers, now webhostinggeeks.com number one for very competitive keyword "web hosting".

:(oh well! knew someone would realize that this was a good idea at some point! works, no doubt...here is a way to make sure that your link does NOT get removed.

say you have a site you want to promote...make your template(s) free, but let people know that there is a way to make some money with the theme.

have your site set up with an affiliate program/script, and make the theme's footer have "get this theme free at...link"...make the link go back to your site, but provide a video or PDF of how to get and add the affiliate code to the end of the link in the template...when they arrive at the site the visitor is tagged!

now to make $$ you have to have something to sell on the site...but at the worst? they may just get the free template and repeat the process!!! in time you will have quite a few links coming in, AND should (hopefully) make some sales. just up to you what to sell.

surely, this is gonna help you. And being myself a webmaster, I give free link to the one who created it after all it is not gonna kick my ass for keeping the link at the footer and users are not distracted. And another thing is that if I get the template for free then I will keep the link for free.

I think this is very much worth to try.

Thanks for this suggesiton but I couldn;t thank you coz I am not getting thanks button in any posts.
