I have been searching for a week for a free wordpress plugin to stop bots from Seo Majestic, ahrefs.com, Moz OpenSiteExplorer and similar sites from exposing my private blog network to competitors. I finally found it...the Link Privacy plugin!

    - Blocks 27 bots AND you can add (or remove) bots from the list
    - Easy to install, no configuring needed

    Download HERE

Give me my $100, because that is not my site.
If you look at my previous posts I have been looking for a way to protect my PBN and I have never mentioned "Seo Revolution" (the creators of the plugin) or the link privacy plugin in any of my 230+ previous posts.

    A basic question:
Why we should block ahref, majestic bots etc? It will not affect our ratings like

    Majestic give trust flow
    Moz gives DA, PA

if we block them, they will give valule to our site?

Sorry if I am wrong, just need to clear this concept

Because if majestic et al can find your PBN then your competitors can, and wipe out all of your hard work.

Thesam, you are completly wrong. If you block ahref and majestic, it doesn't have anything to do with your rankings.

By the way, google "block majesticseo ahref htaccess" and you will find "easy" ways of doing this without any plugin for any website. If you prefer non-tech ways, go for the plugin.

You could just do that through robots and block all such crawlers that you do not want to have access to your site.

What are the odds that this leaves a massive footprint in a way that Google can track?

    IE: //Plugin developed by ......

I wouldn't risk this on my network, better to just use the robots.txt
