Free Ping Tool - Ping over 90 sites one submission!

Hi Symbiotic,

I've been using pingler for quite some time and it works like charm. Excellent job guys.

I noticed that many of us here are sharing a similar problem : CAPTCHA DIDN'T WORK THE FIRST TIME.

I think I found a way to get around it, since it is annoying when you have to rewrite everything if the first try failed. I might be wrong, so bear with me.

What I did was, when I typed in the http://pingler.com, I added the index php at the back. So it would be like this : http://pingler.com/index.php.

Found it accidently coz each time I want to ping the 2nd site onwards, I'll click the link at the bottom of the ping status page, "Ping another site?" That link brings you the index.php page.

I'm not good in any sort of programming (does blogging count?), so my only option is to try anything that works for me. Maybe once you know this, you may know what actually cause the prob and I believe you can easily fix it.

Symbiotic i was told that ping submission to to many services can have adverse effects ..how often should a user ping his site with over 90 sites ?

If you are pinging a blog, every time you update,ie, after every post, or every week, if you haven't posted for the week.
 
ok so after every update .....sounds good Sheen oh and i will be using your squidoo services soon ..lol
 
if you just refresh the page befor you fill in the form, it schould take the captcha with no problem.
 
Ping is used to make the bot crawl your new post faster..that means, if you ping google, googlebot will crawl your new post after that.

It is used to inform the BOT that we make new post, so that your new post will index faster in Google..Just Ping once for each URL..

I too had captcha problems and was using Firefox. Tried it in IE and worked ok.

captach workes fine after seconds go or third in firefox thanks great tool
 
Can I have the ping list added to my wordpress blog?
Will my site get into trouble because pinging too much?

You could add the list to your wordpress blog and as with anything if you abuse it then it could have a negative effect, but if use it in a reasonable manner I am sure you will see positive results.

reasonable manner = ping your site anytime it has been updated with new content or if no new content is added maybe wait a week or two to ping it again. But best case scenario is whenever the site has been updated.
 
many thanks for this tool. one question, though... isn't it easier to just load a list of 300 urls into your preferred CMS? Please don't hate, I'm a n00b lol :(
