Only the base domain is PR8, your subdomain starts from scratch. But that's ok, simply because the root domain is high PR, gives every part of the domain a higher authority. This is why typepad can keep nearly 24 million pages in the Google index.

When a site can keep that many pages indexed, its good for you because you can upload your content, and chances are it will index and stay indexed far easier than if you were to (for instance) create a subdomain on a PR3 base domain website and upload content.

for those who dont already know, you can change your subdomain of your typepad blog in the account area.

click "Account" then look for domain section. its easy but PM me if you need exact instructions.
 
I created an account for free but unfortunately there is no option to post to your blog until you pay for it, right?

I created my blog, but when I tried to access it, it show only blank page..

No more typepad blog? :(
 
On my old TypePad account, I can post,but creating a new one with openID ,not allow to post. Maybe just a paid account work for now.
