[FREE] ** NEW ** method to get PR8 Typepad Blog (old method doesn't work)

Hey folks, most of you know I had a blog post telling everyone how to get a free typepad blog account. I just noticed that February 17, they shut that method off. So now here is a new method for joining typepad for for free.

Ok, Typepad used to only allow secondary logins with Facebook. At the same time they shut off the old method of signing up I had posted (Feb 17), they added OpenID support for new accounts. Some of these accounts are easier to sign up for, for instance Wordpress is extremely easy. And ... you were going to sign up a wordpress ANYWAYS right? AOL is also extremely easy to make.

Step #1) Make your account on any of these.

1. Facebook
2. Twitter
3. Google
4. MySpace
5. Yahoo
6. AOL/AIM
7. Blogger
8. Livejournal
9. Wordpress
10. or OpenID

Step #2) Log in using the account by dropping that service down from the list https://www.typepad.com/secure/services/signin/save.

Step #3) Sign in using that account.

Step #4) It takes you back to typepad, click here.

Now, it may take you to the billing page. If it does that, just go to the homepage and then click "Dashboard". Once in the dashboard, click "Get Your Free Blog" in the right column.

I'm also seeing that it just instantly creates a free blog for you too sometimes, right in the dashboard. If it does that, it will just look like this.

In summary, this isn't that bad. If you're creating a typepad blog, you're probably already creating a wordpress blog too, so you can just use the wordpress ID to make a typepad blog.

Typepad is PR8. It has 4.64 million pages indexed. Its a vital part of a good backlink campaign. Have fun with your free Typepad blogs!

The TypedPad site ITSELF is a PR8... NOT the blog you create on it...

Come on guys - you really should know this stuff.

The PR of YOUR blog may go up, with some backlinking, but it will start, like any other page at 0 (not even '0' actually - unranked).

2.0's are valuable because they have such high PR/Trust/Authority; which you can leech a little by using pages on their site.

It will NEVER become a PR8 page. The whole point of creating a blog there is to get some of the domain's authority.
