So I have been using this tool for quite some time now and thought my fellow FB marketers would find this quite valuable.

This piece of online tool scans your FB friends' contact information and outputs a neat .csv (Comma Separated Value) file which you can import to Outlook/Thunderbird or any decent mailer software.

As everyone knows, FB changes emails to images in profile pages. I cracked the image using an OCR to convert them back to plaintext with ~100% accuracy.

The output will be in the following format:
Code: 
Name,Networks,Sex,Birthday,Hometown,Relationship Status,Mobile,Other,Postal Code,Current Home Town,Address,AIM,Google Talk,Windows Live,Skype,Yahoo,Website,Email #1,Email #2,Email #3,Email #4,Email #5

I'd like to hear your questions/comments/suggestions about the service. This will always be a free service and you can even automate the whole process of inputting username/password combos with HTTP POST if you feel like it. I got plenty of bandwidth and RAM on my VPS.

Oh and no, I do not log your usernames or passwords. If you can't trust me, just don't use it mmkay?

It's a good service, I tried it with a test user that I have with 7 friends and it retrieve all their information to me.
Anyway, being a web service that retrieves you valuable information just for free, it's difficult to me to trust you wont keep a copy of the scrapped info (I'm not talking about the fb user/passwd) and start spamming them before I can do something with it.
 
hmm does it scrapes groups also??

i would like to try it.

It could not scrap groups because being a member of a group do not give you the rights to see the other mebmer's profiles, you have to be friend of somebody to access it.

I honestly don't think it'd be worth the trouble because the list of emails is just way too untargeted to get any conversions.

I didn't know we had a "Services Thread" here somewhere. My bad.
 
If the fact that I could spam those emails really bothers someone just don't use it, I don't give a shit. You should go buy a bot from jetbots which should do the same (however they claim their OCR is 93% accurate, mine is 100%) for $500.

I believe the lists are more valuable to someone who knows what niche, if any, was used while adding friends.
 
I tried it on a test account. It did it for 600+ friends when i only have about 150 on that account :s It also only gave me the emails for about 20 of the 600+ email it scanned, the rest was 'undefined'. Nice try with this but i think it still needs some more work.

That is just weird. Do you have many pending friend requests on that account? It could be causing the problem.

I changed the code a bit, would you mind testing it again? Also remember that some people have their email address invisible to their friends. In my tests I have found that around 70-80% of people keep their email(s) visible to their friends.
 
Ok, ive tried it again, same problem. My account has 122 friends but your script 682 profiles. I did use a few mass add email lists so i may have sent out that many requests but i they dont seem to let you see all your connections like they used to, so i cant tell you how many ive sent out. EDIT: Out of all those i only got 8 Email#1 addresses.

maybe the author sent the rest of the emails to himself.

Hey dude that post is a year ago. if you like to scrape your friends data or groups. search this in facebook "export friends in csv". And if you like to scrape your friends email add. use yahoo email. goto contacts then tools then import from facebook.

Of course there is. This topic is littered all over the FB section of this forum (just like 100 other topics). This thread is old, and FB has since made significant changes, so unless the OP's service has been updated, do not expect it to work.

Also, what happened to no selling of services in this section?

Purchase FaceWizard or FFAP to have scraping done for you automatically.
 
moundown, i think, there is problem with host or something else, because it don`t work with chrome also. Maybe project is down. Waiting for answers.
