Hello guys
I just got email from Udemy instructor and i decide to share with you.
" I have been getting quite a few questions about creating content fast.
All this while I have been using Dragon Naturally Speaking and I felt this was a very good solution.
However, this software costs around $150 and may not be ideal for everyone.
Recently I discovered 'VoiceNote II - Speech to text' an extension for Google Chrome.
I must admit I am amazed at how well this works.
While it would take you at least 30 minutes to an hour to train Dragon Naturally Speaking - at least the version I use, this extension does not require ANY training to recognize your voice.
All you need to do is speak into your microphone - and it transcribes your speech into text.
It makes almost no mistakes. I have been testing it, and it has made maybe a couple of mistakes - and that's it.
For something that's available as a free addon to Chrome, I must admit this kind of performance is amazing.
It did take me a few minutes to learn how to use this - only a few minutes. There's hardly a learning curve.
How to create articles fast using this ...
This can help you take notes a lot, lot faster than you would be able to if you were using the keyboard.
I have a dual monitor setup - I typically have articles I want to mine for ideas open on one monitor and the VoiceNote II open on the second monitor.
While I read the articles, I mentally "rewrite" the sentences and speak into the microphone - and my speech is transcribed by the application running on the second monitor.
Once I am done, I download the text file, do some edits here and there and I have a near complete article.
It might need a bit more work, but this is as fast as I can do this.
If you were to read several articles, take notes and then type articles from scratch it can take you several hours to create one 2000 to 3000 word article.
But with this, it should take you maybe less than 3 hours to create a 2000 to 3000 word article.
Of course, formatting it and creating a webpage will take you a couple more hours.
IMO, this is about as fast as it gets - if someone has a better and faster solution please do let me know and I will be very, very grateful

PPS : There are other similar Chrome extensions that can transcribe speech, bbut I have not tested them. This is the only one I have tested so far. "
