This appears to be something Ahrefs is doing as a slick method to lure in new business.

If you don't have an Ahrefs paid account, you might want to jump on this.

They are giving you access to:
  • Site Audit Tool
  • Site Explorer Tool
Which means you are now able delve into your site's search performance under one roof. Moreover, you get keyword analysis, + content gap analysis. You can find keywords your competition is ranking for < and use that info to outrank them.

Jump on this if you are using Google Search Console; the Ahrefs access is GSC on steroids!

With the Ahrefs access, you get to see all of your known backlinks, plus you get to monitor SEO issues with insights on how to fix those issues. You get broken link data link types and a host of other valuable actionable data.

This is a no-brainer!
 
Started using it and already like it. Of course, there are other tools, but I like this one better.

I'm not happy handing over all my website data, for few tools that less intrusive, and also free ones can replicate.

Third thread on same topic, just a heads up when you connect it’ll crawl your entire site, and if have page view limit it’ll make your host dance think twice before connecting
 
Only the site audit is free, everything else (competitor site explorer, keyword explorer, rank tracker, etc) is not.
 
if i block ahrefs-bot on my verified site, do my site still be crawl by ahrefs bot?

It seems to be free for only one domain and limited range of options. Other than that, it is still paid. as it should be, I guess.
