Wrestling is a martial art. Brock Lesnar is a wrestler. Hence Brock Lesnar is a martial artist.
UFC and MMA are sports and entertainment. A martial artist is just someone that practices a martial art, nothing more or less.
Bruce Lee was the biggest douche bag on the planet when he was alive. Nobody was more arrogant than him in his heydey. Then again all the steriods he was doing probably had alot to do with that. Would you say he wasn't a martial artist?

LOL?! Is that why Lesnar talked shit about UFC's headsponsor in which Dana White had to give him sh*t afterwards and he sincerely apologized? No WWE isn't accepted in UFC..especially when you start talkin sh*t about their headsponsor and having underlying tones of you going home banging your wife.
The act of him was definitely not something that Dana had planned for, so NO it wasn't part of their little marketing scheme.
Oh and ps. -- Brock didnt sell out more than the Liddell and Ortiz fight, so his superstardom equating to superdickhead-attitude probably won't get their ticket sales up for the next event which features him.
And I sincerely hope someone is going to put a knee through his face when he shoots for the legs.

anyone complaining about him not being a "martial artist" need's to read Got Fight? Griffen's book. It goes into detail about the difference between a fighter and a martial artist. Griffen claims to be a fighter, and I'd imagine lesnar does too, along with most good fighters.

1. Picking which fighter will win, and which one you WANT to win are 2 completely different questions, and this poll asked which WILL win... I never said that lesnar was a bad fighter.

This poll should have been titled "who do I wish was the better fighter" cuz Mir had no chance. He got pounded on like a little bitch just like I knew he would. Almost all the good UFC fighters are cocky assholes, people just hate Brock cuz he got the belt so quickly without "proving himself". Well theres your proof, he just owned the shit out of one of the best heavyweights in the league. Brock is funny as hell and you're too uptight if you don't think so.

I think the fights pay is pre-determined in your contract, even before the fight cards are actually set. Not sure, but that would really be the only reason. Lesnar is likely getting a shit ton under the table too. He knows what he's worth to the UFC, and I highly doubt he's letting himself get paid anything short of that. The funny thing is I really did not like him when he first got into the UFC. He has that huge gay knife tat for one. Im pretty sure he's the only mother fucker in the world who can pull that thing off. He could get a tramp stamp saying diva if he wanted lol. I really don't get the tat though. I mean I've seen some retarded tribal and shit on fighters, but that thing looks like something that could have only been thought of while under the influence of tons of booze and/or painkillers.
This is MMA mate, the best is the person who wins. Frank Mir allowed his wrist to get trapped and got pummeled in the face as a consequence. Lesnar trapped that wrist and won.
None of this 'Mir is obviously of superior skill' crap, if he was better he would have won. Or maybe they should just spar with their respective training partners and the judges can decide based on who looks more skillful in training.
Bisping has a much higher profile, especially now on the back of TUF. So he can demand more cash.

I am waiting to see Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley. My monies on Lashley. Lesnar is a big blow hard with a serious attitude problem. He's never thankful for the talent that God gave him.
