Brock Lesnar is an ass pure and simple. He is too damn big - need a super heavy weight class for people like him. After all those steroids he has taken, he is just too damned heavy and strong. He sat on Frank and pounded him...like a 16 year old brother on his 8 year old brother...ain't gonna be fair and this wasn't.:smashfrea Frank Mir is obviously of superior skill - and anyone who doubts that does not pay attention, or doesn't know what the hell they are paying attention to.

As for Bisping - funny as shit! That guy was stiff as a board. Can you say - Highlight Reel?:biggrin1:

Bisping didn't know what fucking day it was ,that was some shit---Henderson flying punch on him when he knew he was out cold too ---dayyum

as for lesnar--he went a bit over the top with the fingers but other than that he's just so hyped up and full of agro that it spills over.Reminds me of the young Tyson.Remember Mike saying he wanted to eat Lennox Lewis' children.Just some explosive emotions going on there.

as someone else mentioned he thrives on being a heel,a bad guy,and I'm sure Dana White loves every fuckin minute of it because people will pay to see the freak.End of story.Who is gonna beat lesnar??? seriously the guy is a one-off freak, even Joe rogan called him that.I know I'll be watching the next time he fights

Dang Henderson rocked Bisping's world last night. Did you guys hear him ask where he was when he got up hahahaha.

Brock vs. Mir was just ridiculous. Brock was such an ass after the fight.

ain't nobody fucking with Brock. He's gonna become the biggest cash cow. after reading all your comments its more obvious that your falling into there marketing plan. All the ppl that hate him are gonna pay money every single time to see him get knocked out.

Word. Cant believe BHW markerters cant spot this, lol

Brock still thinks he is in the WWE..

101 here we come... Can't wait.

Anyone remember how Tito Ortiz acted when he was good? Yep, like Brock.

But what happened with Tito? Caught up in his own hype and got pwned (sorry 'bout the term) by Chuck. Now Chuck doesn't have that much charisma but he became the face of the sport when he beat the ish out of Tito. So, I think the UFC is doing the same thing all over again. Build up a "heel" and whoever destroys him will be the darling of the crowd. Win-win situation for the UFC as today, everyone wants to see Brock's behind kicked from here to the parking lot. And people would pay that ridicously high amount for PPV (unless somebdoy share here a working stream of his next fight) just to see Brock's behind kicked from here to the parking lot.

The question is, who will be Brock's Chuck? I know Fedor's not gonna sign with the UFC anytime soon, but Dana knows that he's gotta sign Fedor...fast.

I WON'T be buying ANY PPV's that feature Brock Lesnar.

I do understand what many MAY think is going to happen: increased ticket sales, etc to see the asshole get knocked out.

The question is "at what cost"?????

The punks on the MMA boards showed their asses and could not debate the issue on it's merits.....instead they named-called and so on. I wish that some of them would come up to my MMA school and disrespect me to my face. People are really brave behind a keyboard........

That aside, the downside to all of this may be more than Dana has bargained for.

I predict a DROP in sales for the Lesnar fights. Sure, I will watch the highlights on YouTube IF anyone crushes him......BUT PAY to watch that asshole? No way!

You have class acts like GSP..........now there is a true martial artist. He SHOULD be the face of MMA. Classy, intelligent and gifted. He is a great role model for the kids that watch MMA.

Brock Lesnar NOT a class act, I don't care if he did apologize during the post fight interview.

This is the UFC, not WWE.

Lesnar as a person should not mean anything to you if your watching it for a fight. He's a good fighter, who cares otherwise? The guy is a FIGHTER, not a fucking entertainer. I mean yeah he's a dick, but he's always a dick from what I've read, not just an act. The guy gets paid to beat the shit out of people. I think lesnar is a tool, but he's a tool that backs it up. I think the reason so many people hate him is because they don't get to see him get his head kicked in after being a dick.

eh guess it depends, I mean the fact that you don't like sports in general means the competition aspect of it is useless for you. Personally I train with alot of mma guys, and I train for boxing myself, just mainly because I love to train, not because I have some aspiration to be pro or something. I guess when you realize what goes into making them a good fighter, you can appreciate watching them fight. It's not just going out there and beating the shit out of each other. There are a bajillion little obstacles these guys had to overcome, and have to overcome in order to win a fight. Guess that helps me enjoy it. That and I love to watch people beat the shit out of each other because I'm a weirdo like that ;)

I agree with you hotsox. It's a fight plain and simple. You watch it for one simple reason, to see two of the baddest mofo's they can find rip each others head's off period. You don't want to see some 5 round decision...you want to see a guy get laid out.

To niche1, parents should be role models not athletes. You guys can't stand lesnar cuz he flipped off the crowd and had an attitude, while henderson during his interview said he new bisping was out but dropped the last bomb on him so he'd "shut him up"! That's fucked up! If bisping was seriously injured or killed from that shot that's what would kill ticket sales, ppv buys, the end of that sport, and more importantly a man's life period,! How do we know gsp is a saint? So what if he's gracious in winning or defeat, all we know is what we read and see of him. He could be beating his girlfriend every night or fucking a sheep behind closed doors for all we know. People get busted all the time for doing crazy shit you would have thought..."not him/her!".

Lesnar's took a job in the "Ultimate Fighter"! His job is to beat the guy they put in front of him buy any and all means necessary. Not the way you want him to fight, the way he can get that job done. It's not his fault he grew up to be the size of a small car...actually a roided up semi-truck. He's a big jerk sure, but that's not why we watch...we watch for the fight!!!! It's the competition that drives us to watch any sport.

Just my 2 pennys.

To say Brock isn't a martial artist is ludicris. The man trained for 13 years in wrestling. Wrestling is the original martial art. The UFC is at a critical stage right now and Dana is going for broke. Brock will bring in more and more of the WWE crowd as he continues in the UFC. He was at the top of the profession in the WWE and the man is already wealthy as can be. As a competitor he gave it all up and took a shot a proving himself in real mixed martial arts. You should give him credit. He took the risk of looking like a complete fool and put in the training to now dominate the HW division. If anything he'll make that whole division better as now all the heavyweifghts have to figure out how to deal with him. It's scary to think what he will be like when he learns some submissions training with Eric Paulson. He missed at least three subs on Mir that were right there for the taking. (head and arm triangle, americana, kimura) But I think Frank pissed him off so much he just wanted to pound his face in.
Remember as well that Brock knows the whole WWE sthick and how to market this stuff.
If you see the pre-fight interview where he knocks the door off the hinges you have to know that was a setup.
Dana's goal is to make MMA and the UFC the biggest sport in the world and Brock is one of the guys that can help get him there. Just enjoy it !
If you like marketing and martial arts Brock is the man!

I read an interview with him about this in some magazine. He pretty much dealt with dana white from the go, and basically said.. I put asses in the seats and I know how to sell ppv events. I have the star power, and potential to bring in a whole new audience.... etc. Like it or not white knows what he is doing, and as painful as it may see to have a guy like lesnar on top of the game, he earned it. He's a prick, so what. Not everyone is a nice guy, especially fighters.

I agree. I hate matt hughes aswell. That guy is such a whiner "Well my wife said....", "My wife told me...". Really wanted serra to knock him out but knew it wouldnt happen.

A martial artist is MORE than someone who just kicks someone's ass. It involves values such as respect and humility. In our MMA school those values (along with discipline, etc) are VERY much a central theme to our training.

I know that Brock is a fighter, but does he reflect the virtues of a Martial Artist?

The answer is no! This is based on his ridiculous behavior displayed at UFC 100. I still maintain it was unwarranted (much as the Dan Henderson late elbow strike) and has NOTHING to do with being a true Martial Artist.

I beg to disagree with the idea that most fighters are "not nice".......that is an incorrect assumption and if you are training with assholes, then they are assholes by choice. Your instructors should put the hammer down on their shitty behavior. It has no place in the gym.

I am an adult. I have little tolerance for the "tough guy syndrome" types. It simply isn't necessary and to me, it is childish.

Surely you are not equating being a jerk or nasty with ones ability to take out someone else in a fight (either in the street or octagon) are you? If so, this is very misguided and will get you killed when you come upon the "nice" guy who happens to turn into Bruce Lee when you threaten him.

I see some disturbing trends here. Fighters ARE role models. Yes, it is true that Parents should be the role models and I would agree with that point. However, you can NOT constantly excuse away other people's behavior.

Being a jerk is a choice. Not being one is also a choice.

I do thank ALL of the members here for keeping the comments to each other respectful, even when they disagree.

The hitting to the back of the head that was allowed on Mir is going to be the death of a fighter, someday. As well as the late elbow that Henderson landed. Someone WILL die as a result of an intercranial bleed and that will result in the end of the UFC.......

Very disturbing! I am a Medical Professional with over 20 years of experience and I KNOW what happens to the human body when people are knocked out and how easily they can die.

You know, the quick stoppages (while controversial) HAVE saved lives.......what has happened to that?

I know some of you here are much younger than some of the rest of us, but Martial Arts is more than just beating someones ass........GSP is a great martial artist. Machido is another example of a true professional.

Again I will state it. Brock Lesnar is NOT a martial artist. He fights. He is childish and does not represent wrestling or MMA as a whole in a positive way.

That is my point.

I will stick with the true Martial Artists like GSP or Machido. They display true Warrior skill and values.

I don't want to see the WWF or WWE. If I did, I would NOT have been a loyal UFC fan from year one!

Lesnar was a dick. We all know that.

I laughed when he talked about the Bud Light - Coors Light thing, but Idk...

I hope they get rid of the attitude. The brit has the same asshole attitude - no one likes it.

You know what. UFC isnt about personality clashes. Its about who is the better fighter on the day. While their should be rules on behaviour like all sports. If you started making up personality rules on the fly, then it wont be a "championship" anymore. It will be "who do i like the most" not "who is the best fighter".

To a degree i guess you could say this already happens. I definitely think brock lesnar should have had to do far more to get even close to a title shot. Why the interim championship was made up, with nog holding it. And then suddenly couture is willing to fight again.

If anything, as soon as couture had finished whining about his contract. The two belts should have been molded IMMEDIATELY.
