I recently decided to force https on my entire website. I just assumed this would be a good option using sites like Twitter and Facebook as example.
I never thought about the SEO aspect of this. I created a 301 redirect of all http to https, so I don't think there is any loss in backlink juice.
I have researched it and found a lot of conflicting info. I know forcing SSL creates more overhead and can affect load times.
I'm looking for anyone why may have some insight on this. What have you seen and experienced? Any advice would be appreciated.
