For Those Who Thinks Article Marketing Does Not Work

yehhhh! math!

gave you some rep and got you above the "10" mark !!
yeah you are right about that..

hali~!:)

hey math,

I know you said you use Google's KWT and you looked for between 10,000
and 50,000
searches per month.

I've always thought that was kind of high for specific niche research?
then again I'm still learning, and don't completely understand, OR whether "SERPs"
can be used in combination with KWT's to have a better "picture" ?

(I've actually done quite a bit of reading on KWR, oddly it
hasn't clarified anything for me, and even left me more confused!)

I wouldn't know what to look for even if SERPs can be used in conjunction ? ....

anyway, that aside, are KW search results of less than 10,000
simply not enough???

You have to find your niche first and check for 10,000 to 50,000 search per month keyword in order to rank without much effort. Your articles have to be well writen, with good keyword density and most importantly, you 'target' keyword has to be in the title!

If you want to get on top of the results, check for 'micro-niche' with less competions and more active buyers.

Awesome thread! I have just started article marketing myself and am thrilled to choose this path as I love to write. I do have a professional-looking Wordpress blog set up in my niche but except for Ezine, I am instead using redirect links to my aff products. I am just starting to promote my first one. The redirect link includes the product name and my domain and it goes directly to the aff landing page. It still looks professional. Do you recommend that this is not a good idea though and that I should just direct all my articles to my own website and they can click on the aff product from there? I really wanted to do it with redirects because I really like their own landing page.

You should do split testing with landing page/direct linking.

To be honest with you, I've had much more success creating a custom landing page and make it less salesy.

Make it personal, write your content has a friend who's just recommending the product, not as a salesman.

And never forget that 95% of the people online don't know a thing about hoplinks, clickbank and affiliate marketing.

I use article marketing in a competitive niche.

Just submit like 20 articles a day to my ezine articles account, make pretty good money, i'm gonna start outsourcing it soon.

Really not hard, even if they aren't well optimized, you'll still get traffic, takes me like 5 minutes to write an article, I usually get 5 to 10 clicks out of it, instead of watching tv in my free time I just write, pretty simple stuff actually.

I once had an article bring in over 1,000 clicks, I didn't SEO it for any keyword, weird how that works.

I want to start building backlinks to different articles, but not really sure how to start that, or how the results are :)

Great man! I like how you think. People don't often realise that submiting 5 articles a day with and average of 10 clicks to your ressource box(very low average, it can be much more) equals a minimum of 1500 targeted visitors to your page/month. If your page has a conversion rate of 5%( can be well over this with Targeted visitors), you juste made 75 sales! 75 sales at 20$/sale is 1500$.

I'm not even talking about reccuring income here... just let your imagination flow.

GO WRITE SOME MORE DUDE:)

Depends on how much you make per sale. If you're promoting a membership site with reccuring income, then 5,000 search a month is still good !

Never thought of promoting a membership site. I've been to busy making my list, not a bad idea though :P

Never thought of that 5 articles a day though, i've thought about quitting my job and working 8 hours a day on article marketing.

I could probably get out around 60 articles a day (that's counting me taking long breaks) I only fear that, that would be overkill and most of my articles would end up not getting views.

Thanks for the advice! I really wanted to avoid doing my own landing pages as I wanted to utilize that time working on my dropship websites where I do have to spend a lot of time designing. But I am starting to see your advice is the best way to go so might have to rethink my plan. Thanks again, much appreciated!! :)

Article marketing still works, for me, and for many others.

You dont need to write 20 articles per day!

you can, but you dont have to! submit 1 spun article to 20 article directories each day, instead of writing 20 articles write only one and spin it to about 75%+ uniqueness. spin 20 of those and just use some article submitting software (search downloads area).

Make sure to optimize your articles for the keywords you want to get ranked for, and in the source area of the article, put 2 anchor links with your keyword as anchor, one to your main money site, and the other link will point to some other article you published, that way you build good backlinks to your ARTICLES, which will make them rank higher, thats what you want dont you? =]

Dont forger to submit RSS feeds of your articles and author profiles of each directory.

Just my 2 cents,
Good luck,
Amit.

Definitely a "cut and paster" to my Article Marketing Advice file! Thanks! :)

No Kidding!!!! Same here! I use Market Samurai and love it, but once I have all my data, I'm still like...ok, so which one's do I use and how many?! I have been trying to search everywhere for a good basic tutorial on how to use keywords for 1. Article Marketing and 2. Adwords but with no luck at the moment. I have been using a formula I learned and I know tracking is everything, but I really wanted to just read something basic and simple to top it off! I know clarity is out there somewhere for us!

I thought removing blogger navigation bar is a No No? What are the impacts if google did find out?

Btw, when you said using blogger, is it the free one? Or you get a domain name & host it on blogger?

I have a few blogs running and none of them have the nav bar, those blogs are ranking pretty good and im working as i worked with any other blog\website platform, so i dont think google actually care about the nav bar, its just for surfers ease.

I use my own domain and redirect it to the blog with the GoDaddy's forwarding tool. Really easy and fast.

Cost me a big 0$ of hosting.

But if you have a platinum status with ezine, don't bother about goarticles and articlebase.

Can anyone elaborate this idea? I also send my articles to EZine, ArticlesBase and Goarticles but how come I should not bother with them if I am an Ezine Platinum?

LOL!!! NOT BOTHER? you mean, why should i build some more quality backlinks from other big directories? why should i bother? i can do fine with that ezine alone!

Come on guys, we all know that backlinks are our best friends, and we all know that article directories deliver somewhat traffic to our sites even though our article doesn't list first on google, some traffic comes directly from the article directory.

PLUS, just for you to know, on many articles i published (I'm publishing spun articles to 30+ directories) some directories took me higher on google then ezinearticle, so EA maybe the most popular, but also GoArticles/ArticleBase/ArticleSnatch/ArticleCat and other well optimized directories will get you some results and even better somtimes.

Good luck :)

Exactly. I do the same thing. It is extremely simple and quick to do. :D

Way to go bud! ;)

OOO, so you're using custom domain, bec i wouldn't use blogger as landing page. I've had several blogs deleted bec clickbank products in it. BTW, it's OK to remove blogger navbar, all of my blogs don't have navbar.

Also, just my 2 cents, if you want to succeed in affiliate marketing, you need powerful script lol.

My method (i haven't done this yet as i haven't finished creating landing page): I'm planning of using conduit method+powerful script in landing page, multi promoting a lot of products, and writing a lot of articles everyday.

Usually, my article's title is similar with this: How to make tons of money with Product A.

This thread has inspired me to work harder, as my template hasn't even been finished yet.
