I started smoking at 17 and that went on till 25. My final days of smoking I used to 3-5 packs a day. Here one pack has 10 sticks not 20 unlike Marlboro which used be my go to brand initially. Then I moved onto more unsafe but stronger cigarettes like Wills flake, country cigarette (it's like a rollie in a dried leaf)Wassup guys .. i been smoking ciggaretes for like a year now and i smoke like 2 packs a day

Dude! thats a good story it inspire.. i will do my best to stop because i got this stomach issue where i have a lot of gas i think its from the cigsI started smoking at 17 and that went on till 25. Long story short. I started puking for almost 7 days continuously and i puked water and flem together. I looked pathetic. There were slight traces of blood too. But doctors said that came from my stomach. It was another side effect from this(gut related)
That night, i decided to stop. Gave my last 3 cigarettes to a friend. Took my lighter home.
I then locked myself up for 4 days. Only on liquid diet and fruit juices. I detoxed like it was like nobody's business. Then eventually it became a habit. Now around 11-12 years away from nicotine. Even now I go to a party i dont get the urge to smoke a cigarette nor do I get repelled by it. I am comfortable.
Okay. My 2 cents.
Based on experience:
1. Avoid nicogums
2. Nicotine patches
3. Or the teenager cigarette "Vape"

Cold turkey and stop. There is no slowly tapering off with nicotine.
It's all about stoping abrupt, drinking a lot of water to detox. Try locking yourself inside for a few days. 2-5 days.
But trust me. Once you stop you find the chains from your leg break suddenly. This freedom can only be experienced by someone who's quit smoking

@proxygo too has an interesting experience about quoting nicotine.
Yes I had similar issues which led to IBS. Then after quitting, it all got magically fixed. My Gut healed. IBS disappeared. No medicinesDude! thats a good story it inspire.. i will do my best to stop because i got this stomach issue where i have a lot of gas i think its from the cigs
Thanks for taking the time to share your story
Maan thats a good storyGave up on January 1st, 2024 - so a little over 2 years now.
Participated in a friendly game of badminton on the eve of December 31st. After the first round, I felt my heart would pop out of my chest. After the second, I started seeing shapes and circles.
Was doing a little over a pack a day - about 30 cigs.
India has this culture of Chai breaks - especially in Mumbai we have a culture of Cutting Chai, which is equivalent of half a cup of tea.
I'd take about 5-6 chai breaks every day with different groups of people in my office building.
These Chai breaks were actually Chai Sutta breaks - Sutta being the colloquial for cigarettes.
Plus had a 1.5 hour drive back then to work and 1.5 hours back.
Bought a bunch of those Nicotine patches and 4mg Nicotine gums.
NRT really helped me. I struggled for a good month. But then never looked back.
