I just searched and noticed there was no tutorial for getting a Masters account ... something that unless you're one of CB's high rollers, you might never have even heard of.

The Masters account is a place where you can view all the money you make over all your accounts. For example, if you've seen the "16-year-old-girl" IM product recently, it's the page she shows in "her" video.

(In case you didn't: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...rich-16-year-olds-new-millionaire-system.html)

I know I just used to get tired of logging into seven accounts and have to add up the commissions to know what I made. This way, you don't have to.

Here's how to do it:

1. Go to:

Code:
http://hiderefer.com/?http://www.clickbank.com/master/signup.html

2. Fill out the necessary information, including the two security questions, picking your PIN, and signing up one of your Clickbank accounts (by filling in the Nickname and Password). Click the 'Sign Up' button.

3. You should be sent to a page telling you that you'll be receiving an email confirmation of your signup.

4. Check that email account, and find the email with the verification link.

5. Click the verification link, and create your password.

6. Login with your Email address and new password.

7. You'll be taken to a page with an 'Add ClickBank Account' button.

(If you don't have another account to add, just click the link near the top right of the page that says 'Dashboard' and go to your Dashboard. You are finished here.)

8. If you do have more than one account you'd like to link to your Master account, click that 'Add ClickBank Account' button.

9. Input the additional account's Nickname and Password and click the 'Link Account' button.

10. Check your email for the subject line: "ClickBank Master Account Confirmation." Open that email.

11. Click the confirmation link, and you should be taken to your Master account with the second account added in.

Repeat from step 8 for each additional account you wish to link to your Master account.

Once done, you'll be able to go to your dashboard and see all your accounts' earnings at once.

Have at it!

thanks for the thread pro, just that i am not really into it. kinda hard to earn with CB i guess. but seriously thanks for the helpful post. ;)

Hey OP, you make me smile, 7 accounts lol. Never even tried CB as yet and wouldn't know where to start there's that much stuff out there, it's a minefield, if you know any short cuts to be able to have just one profitable account I'd be all ears young man.
Regards.

Yeah. I know. 7 accounts seems excessive. It's a way for me to easily monitor my different campaigns to see which are most profitable.

It indeed can be a minefield, and rest assured there are plenty of downsides to ClickBank (just like any network), but they require no confirmation for signup, which is great for newbies, since most CPA networks screen new affiliates/publishers, and the newbie is turned down because they don't have the ability to send hella traffic off the bat.

I started by using email marketing, but others start with SEO and PPC, from what I see on the forum. I believe some do Facebook as well. I wish I could be more helpful, but the more I am in this industry, the more I realize that no method works for everyone, so what helped me likely wouldn't help others.

Damn. This isn't as popular a topic among the CB crowd as I thought it would be.

I mean, I know not everyone does CB, but it seems like a general disinterest. Not to mention no 'Thanks' or anything (not that I'm fishing, but I would have thought I'd see a few).

Oh well. I hope it at least helped make SOMEBODY'S day easier.

Hey, T.

The reason I use seven accounts (I actually have 9 total, but seven in one Master account and two in another) is for split testing.

For one Master account, I can easily monitor which day of the week is working best (7 accounts, 7 days). For the other (with my two older accounts), I monitored day mailing versus evening mailing.

As a result, I've developed a somewhat complex mail schedule strategy. I still monitor my results and will use different accounts if I wish to split test again from time to time.

I spent two years working for one of the biggest guys in the world for the biz-opp niche. As a result, I learned that testing is everything. It's crazy how much they test, and I'm trying to do that as well.

That's REAL out of the box thinking; I'd never have come up with that idea. But it makes perfect sense, and I can easily see how it helps you quickly evaluate your tests (which are crucial to successful scaling).

Thanks!

Hey bud, I also have several accounts but why link them up like this?

For example, imagine you do something a bit black hat and CB ban your account for it. Probably they wouldn't bother to cross-reference and find your other accounts.

But use a master account and you give them an easy way to fry all your accounts.

Not something I'll be using but thanks for the tutorial.

florflor, yeah it's just about ease.

Technically, I could use one account and track everything I was trying to track. However, it was easier with multiple accounts.

As far as why link them up, it's just easier to see them together. Also, if you need some assurance, I had an associate of mine lose one CB account in his Master account for "spamming," but did not lose the rest.

It's great for split testing.

I've used them for testing time of day, days of the week, and now I'm testing my different lists, to see which are most/least profitable. If I have a list of 10K that doesn't ever buy, I can save myself some cost by removing them from my account.

So, that many accounts can indeed have an appropriate purpose.

Hey OTrap, can the master account include both promotional accounts where I am the affiliate for a product, and vendor accounts where I am the seller of my own Clickbank products? Better yet, can I have two master accounts, one for my affiliate promotion efforts and one for my multiple Clickbank products as a vendor? I don't see why not, but Clickbank has had essentially no support for multiple accounts until this, so I think I better ask.

Yes, and yes. I have a vendor account (the one I'm using to launch my product in November) mixed in with my 8 affiliate accounts. And before I consolidated them, there were two and seven, respectively, in separate Master accounts.

Is there an advantage using multiple accounts versus using a tracking id and one account like clickbank suggest in their affiliate guides in the help center? Do you run these multiple accounts under different names and with different credit cards?

The advantage, as far as I can tell, is that you can track more than just sales.

I did use the TID once, but all I was able to see, statistically, was sale distinction in the "Transactions" subtab.

With the separate accounts, it just makes things easier, and you can more easily keep track of more statistics.

I did not run them under separate names and with different bank accounts attached. They're all the same info.

Clickbank doesn't care if you have multiple accounts. In fact, that is WHY they set up the Masters Account setup. It was created FOR people with multiple accounts.

Thanks OTrap for the nice info.
I think having multiple accounts means you are at another level. For starters like me, I'm doing fine with 1 account. Maybe some day I will reach to the level to see the need of having multiple accounts

cbnoob, some people just don't need all the accounts, even if they're big. I know several of the "in" IM marketers that still only use one.

Thanks! They should include your last paragraph in their FAQ. I really thought multiple accounts might be some black hat technique ;)
