For all Gurus

Ok, so this is my first post in this blog and on this one I want to tell my story.

My story is motivated for the fact that we all can live from our passion as the Gurus says. (excuse my english by the way)

I started my project 1 and a Half year ago. A website with some services and a blog in order to rank positions in google.

After a year I realize that my costummers dont want to pay much for my services, so I started to sell my knowledge, this means, create a learning platform with online video courses, and the way to sell them has been to create a FREE WEBINAR MASTERCLASS and after the masterclass I sell my courses at 50% discount to all that have watched the masterclass. How do I get the people into the webinar? FB ads. This just started a month ago and I just sold 2 courses.

All that I have achieve in this year and a half:

Positioning KEYWORD number 1 on google

Laerned Google Adwords

Learned FB ads

Learned EverWebinar

Learned Mailchimp & Active Campaign

Learned SEO Techniques

10 euros with google Adsense xD

100 euros with Amazon Affiliates recommending products on my BLOG.

1.250 euros selling courses

5.500 euros selling services

THIS MEANS A MONTHLY INCOME OF 381 euros

Expenses:

1.168 euros in Google Adwords

528 euros in Facebook Ads

Yearly payments like Active Campaig, Everwebinar, Vimeo, Thrive Leads, Website and Hosting somthing like 1000 euros a year.

I tell my story to make understand people that IS NOT EASY as all the GURUS says.

I had to work in other things in order to get more money, back to my parents house to get less expenses like renting a house and food and all of that.

Maybe I'm in the end of the tunnel or maybe not. I'm about to quit and get a regular job, something that is not going to make me happy but is a way to survive...

Well this was my story, maybe I can help other or others can help me due to this thread. I would appreciate it.

There are thousands of people who think they are going to be the next guru and fall flat on their face.
Most people either price their courses at $10k and open it to 10 people, for the FOMO effect, or you get the total opposite where the ' how to make $1k every day' course is sold as a $7 WSO and sells by the buckload.

I am not a guru but you are already earning good money. Have you tried other ways to make money online in addition to selling courses ?

In my case I just sell courses teaching all I know with programs and techniques to make music... nothing relative to teach how to make money.
As you said, thats the real world and just wanted to warn some people of buying that GURUs stories when all is possible If you do this and that...

Well, I'm selling all I can sell. Services of what I know, and courses of what I know...

The thing is that i think that I have to become a MASTER in one of those. Wether is selling courses, Amazon Affiliates, Adsense or focus on my services...

I know I made money but 382 monthly is not something to make a living hahaha

I know this is not the place where GURUs are, and I did not mean that. I wanted to warn people for the GURUs out there hahah and tell my story to help...

You should do that. You shouldn't have gone full-time on a biz you don't know without a huge cushion. Sailing into the unknown is fun until your food starts running out and instead of sweating due to rowing forward, you're sweating thinking about what you eat. Get a job, do this as a side gig until you get good traction.

Yeah, I fully understand you....
but i'm really lazy that why I'm not making money in IM. I do something 2-10 days and then few months think what to do next.

but I will not quit, I like think that one day I will become a millionaire.

But even so.. Many people consider themselves some kind of guru here.}

You though! Just give up man!! You will never money and never be a millionaire. Just give up! Less competition for me!!!

If you believe you achieve, when you doubt you go without. There are probabally ways you can tweek your strategy to increase your income. Maybe you alter your goals to put energy into the right areas. Whatever you do, good luck to you.

That would be my next step, put my effort in the right areas...

Thanks for writing this post. It really goes to show that "gurus" are not the people we should all be listening to. You have to have a lot of luck in this business - if effort and talent were everything, we would all be millionaires by now. I agree that you should get a stable job now and wait it out. You can still do this on the side until the numbers go up a bit. But, even then, two great incomes are always better than one, if you can handle it.

that was the point of the post, is not that easy as just having a talent and start a blog with some services. A little of FB ads and Google Ads and you get a nice income.

I think you have to know well your niche, make a lot of mistakes, be patient, put a lot of money in your project but always with intelligence, and maybe you'll be succesfull after a certain period of time.
Maybe this situation that I'm living now is something that we all that want to monetize our projects have to live so I don't complain...
But just to warn all people that belief in GURUS. IS NOT THAT EASY!

Of course Gurus will make it seem easy because they want you to buy their course SMH, good luck bro!

Life as a Guru is... Magical & Mystical... or just Slight of Hand !!!

The online World is always in a State of Flux... So the Keys to $$$ Success is The Ability to Adapt and Uncover New & Hidden Opportunities... Then excercise The Economics of Scale.

Have you tried Udemy, there's some really crappy stuff on there but there's also some good courses ( away from IM too ), plus it's a great way to list build etc.

If you don't go out of your comfort zone you will always be stuck there..

Could be an option but I see that my courses in there are very cheap... I would have to sell many but still an option. Thank you!
