Font Finder

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I couldn't find anything on graphic web design.

Anyway, I had someone create a logo for me, but the font for the name of the site isn't something I like.

I have some fonts on my computer, but to go thru every single one of them to see what they look like would take way too long.

Is there some site where I can type in the text & have it suggest fonts that are either free or within my price range based on the style of font?

Like boxy, fancy, straight lined, etc.?

Also it allows me to type in the name of a font to see what it would look like?

It has a ton of free stuff, not only fonts, so I'd bookmark this one. For the fonts, on the left-hand side is a fonts menu, and there is a submenu, 'font tools'. From there they have some tools to help you pair fonts. There is also a really nice list of font pages you can access without ever leaving the one site. This site's up at the top of my favorites.

All of the sites everyone else has listed are good, but I think we’re missing a big one: Google Fonts. All of the fonts on there are free, and you can adjust the kind of styles you want. Most importantly, you can type in the name of the company and have all of the fonts spell it out while you browse. It’s a pretty comprehensive collection. And it’s free, so there’s that.
