Today I...

• Added content to the "Beginner Basics" page in the Lose Fat section.
• Added a new "Hottie of The Week"
• Added 2 new facebook posts and twitter tweets
• Changed the look of the "Newsletter" page
• Changed the look of the sidebar widget promoting my email opt-in
• Changed the ad I had posted on Bing promoting my email opt-in
• Added a new post

I got some feedback that I've started to implement and also some that I'm going to do either tomorrow or the next day ("Click Here To Redeem Code" image).

I also was doing some research on how to get more twitter followers and ran across a list of 16k accounts that will supposedly follow you back no matter who you are. So I loaded that into my Twitter software and I'm currently following at 300 per day. Hopefully this list can help to boost my Twitter numbers and make my twitter account look much more legitimate, and at the same time it'll expand my exposure on Twitter.

I think that's about it...

I have to go to my sisters graduation tomorrow after I get off work so I'm not sure how much stuff I'll be getting done for the website. Just fyi you need to change bulking where its says egg whites (or eggs). raw eggs only have half the amount of protein in them as a boiled egg has, a large boiled egg has around 6g a raw egg has around 3g.

No I'm sorry but your information is wrong. If anything cooking devalues the nutritional value of food, it doesn't enhance it. A regular egg has 6 grams of protein in it. I'm not sure how much a boiled egg has but it's either 6 grams or less.


As for today I just got home from my sisters graduation dinner, and had literally no time to get any work done between getting off my day job and having to leave for the graduation ceremony. So I didn't get anything done, and I'm ready to crash since it's my bed time. It's ok that I didn't get anything done today though because it was a legitimate excuse, and I was legitimately gone all day.

So it's been two weeks since I posted "Shit's About To Get Real", and I've only made one post to this thread since then. I've done some work since then but not as much as I should have.

• Changed my email advertisement to help increase opt-in rate

I know I've done more than that but can't think of what else. I've spent more time working than it sounds like in those 4 bullets... but in 2 weeks time I should have A LOT more done.

You guys are about to see my productivity increase tenfold. You're about to start seeing daily updates again. I know that actions speak louder than words, and I don't expect anyone to believe me at this moment, so I'll prove it to you over the next two weeks.

My current project that I'll be spending 90% of my time on over the next month is trying to build a big supplement database. You can see an example of what I'm trying to do on this page http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/infopages.html

I need a separate page with info for each ingredient listed there, just as they have. Everything will be categorized into different sections under the supplements section such as "Muscle Growth", "Fat Loss", "Energy", "General Health". I will also have a page listing every ingredient in both A-Z format, and also with each ingredient listed in the categories that it could be associated with. For example caffeine would be categorized with energy, but on the list showing all ingredients it would be shown both under the energy section and the fat loss section.

I bought a fiverr gig gaining me 20k followers on twitter. They were supposed to be real accounts, but huge surprise (not really) they weren't. Even though they aren't real, now my account on twitter will look more legitimate since the accounts at least look real. Also my software (TweetAdder) can no follow and unfollow more followers per day, which should also help me to gain more followers as well.

I'll be buying some Facebook likes soon but I'm going to make sure that they're real likes since fake ones won't benefit me at all.

I added a new album to my Facebook page called "Celebrities". What I've been doing is I take the hottest picture of each girl I have a celebrity profile of and then put her into that album. Then as the description I have the name of the girl, and also have a link to her celebrity profile on my site saying that they can view more photos there. This content should be more viral than my other posts since it shows up in the feed as a big "in your face" high res. photo of a gorgeous girl. Also it'll attract more people to my site who want to view more photos of a particular girl.

Well that should be about it for now. I'm off today and tomorrow so I'm hoping to get a lot done. Here's the stats for the past week.

Since my CTR was horrible Bing stopped posted my ads very much at all, so I just stopped the campaign.





Been a month since I posted, where have I been? Working Hard!

I did not abandon this site, only this thread. I've actually been working much more productively this past month then I had throughout the entire rest of the thread.

I was spending so much time on the site that I didn't want to the take the time to make daily posts in here so I just abandonded it. But I've decided to start updating this thread again, but this time around I won't try to update it every day. Instead I'll just try to keep it updated on a regular basis every few days to a week... as things happen.

So what have I done since I last posted?

Well I've added a few posts, this is where I've been lagging but that's because I've been focusing on other things. I've changed around the navigation of the site so that it's much more "pretty" as I like to say. I've also changed around the menu somewhat.

The big thing I've been working on is the supplement database. So far I've got about 50 pages done. Every page has details about the supplement and then lists an affiliate link to Bodybuilding.com to show where to buy the supplement. It actually works out pretty well.

Marketing
This is the big one I've recently started. We'll start with Facebook.

For Facebook I've bought 3,000 real likes for my page. I've noticed that these likes are actually real people, but a lot of them ended up being girls who I'm guessing they thought the page was about Male Models, so I consider the 3,000 likes to just be a way to kick start the likes on my page, and to make it look more official. About a week ago I started running Facebook ads. First at $5 a day, but now I've got a $10-$15 per day ad running to get more likes to my Facebook page. This is working out very well. My ctr and spend isn't the best, but for now it's worthwhile, especially since I'm attracting my demographic, young males interested in weight training. Also it's very justified since I'm trying to build a brand/company that I'd like to make my lifes earnings from.

For Twitter I had said a month ago that I had bought 20k twitter followers that were fake. Well apparently Twitter doesn't allow you to follow more than 1k people per day, so for the past month I've had Tweet Adder following back 800 followers per day, so that I could "catch up" to where I was following all of the account who were following me. This past Tuesday I finally caught up, and now Tweet adder is following 500 new people per day, and then 4 days later it unfollows any people who never followed me back. I found a thread on here that taught me a method to find very targeted twitter users who've recently posted, so my method of following is working very well so far.

On top of that I've also been compiling a list of having an individual Tweet for every single one of my pages on the site, and have the tweet link back to the page it's about. With this I can have Tweet Adder randomly send out a new tweet every 2-3 hours with the Tweet linking back to my page. This should not only drive traffic from my current followers, but will also help me to add more followers who are using Twitters search function.

One other thing I've started doing is buying link building gigs on Fiverr. Just quality links I can find from sellers who have a lot of positive feedback. I've noticed that I get very little traffic from the search engines and I'd like to change that.

My email Aweber opt-in is not doing good at all, and that's something that I need to change but I haven't come up with any good ideas yet. I've only gotten 6 total subscribers so far to it. But I've had a decent amount of clicks through to it. I might make it so that the email sign-in box is on sidebar...see how that works, and if it doesn't work well then I'll change the offer.

Here's my traffic for the past month. I've broken traffic records every day for the past 5 days now! Going for 6 day straight today haha!

Edit: Btw I've started making a little money from the site, but nothing much at all. A total of about $10 for the month from Google Adsense, and no sales yet from the affiliate links.

Broke a new traffic record the other day. Hit 300, but just barely.



You can see that the traffic dipped off some. That's because my Twitter software ran out of Tweets to automatically tweet out. So instead of it tweeting 10 or so tweets each day like it had been it went down to only 1 or 2... or even zero for the one day.

What I'm working on today is getting my list of Twitter automated Tweets high enough to where I can have my software post about 10 tweets per day from the list and keep re-using the list of tweets. So even though it'll eventually start to re-tweet tweets that have already gone out before, there should be enough in the list to make it seem as if each one is new.

I've switched the ads on the right hand side so that it's 5 different clickbank products that rotate. I originally had just one stationary ad, so it's nice to see it rotating between 5 different ones... looks more professional and targets a wider variety of people interested in different things. My ad on the top is built into the theme so I'm not sure yet how to have that one rotate, so it'll just be the one ad for now.

My Facebook page is starting to increase by 100+ people per day which is simply incredible. I am spending $20 per day on advertising to help make this happen, but the price to pay is worth it for this growth.

I've added in a pop-up opt-in that pops up after someone has been on the site for 60 seconds. I read a case study where some guy said for his particular site 60 seconds was the magic number where opt-ins increased since by that time people have had some time to look around the site and see the authority of it before it pops up. Over 1k unique views and 7-8 opt-ins. I can't say exactly how many because it also says "click here for more details" and takes people to the squeeze page, so I'm not sure how many people who signed up from the squeeze page were from the hover box. My opt-in needs re-vamping but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. It's one of those things where I'll get it done when I don't feel like doing other things that particular day.

I've set myself a goal to get 1,000 unique visitors in a single day within the next two weeks. Today is Day 1, so the 18th will be the last day I have to hit this number. I believe that this goal is realistic but still ambitious.

I think that's about it for now. For anyone who's curious (and actually read this post and made it this far) I've made about $25 so far from the site. My goal this month is to make $100 total. So far I'm only at $1.65, but all I need is 2 clickbank sales to make this happen, or a couple nice Bodybuilding.com orders.

The last 3 days have been 303, 350 (new single day record), and 304. So I'm starting to consistently hit over 300 unique visitors per day now. I think the big thing to really growing the site now is getting it filled with even more quality content. I'm getting plenty of visitors each day now to spread the word, so now if I can get the site to be worthy of being spread by word of mouth then things will really take off.

I'm going to try and get the supplement database done today. It'll be a lot of work but I know I can do it if I put my mind to it.

After the supplement database is done I can finally go out and get a camcorder and start filming my exercise database and start putting vides on youtube... which is where things are really going to take off.

New high for a single day is 378. I haven't been working as much as I should the past few days, but I should make up for it and get a lot done this week.

I've redesigned the site some and I'll be coming out with a new promotion soon for both the site and Facebook that gives away free supplements on a weekly basis. I cut my Facebook advertising spending from $20 per day to $5 per day to have money to buy the supplements. I think the free supplement giveaways will be much more viral and better in the longer run than an extra $15 per day in Facebook spending.

I'm also starting a promotion soon where visitors have to click a Facebook "like" box to see coupon codes, but the box will be on my website. I currently get a majority of my traffic from Twitter so this should really increase my Facebook likes.

Hit a new record yesterday of 400 unique visitors in a single day. Total income from the site is only about $14, mostly from Google Adsense. I still feel like I need to keep worrying about increasing traffic now and making money off these people later, so I'll optimize making money on the site later.

I don't think I'm gonna hit my goal of 1,000 visitors in a single day by my deadline (this Friday). But I've got some ideas and things in the works to hopefully push up over the 1k mark before the month is out.

Broke 1,000 page views for the first time yesterday. Figured that was post worthy considering it's the first 4 digit single day record I've had so far. Now to get 1,000 visitors in a single day.
