Hey guys, I built a website and am trying to sell it on Flippa.com

I sold one last week for $50 but I thought the guy had bid $350 so whatever...

But now I posted a site I built especially to try and sell right away.

I put this together last month, ranked it on the 1st page, and now want someone to buy it off me.

What do you BHer's think? https://flippa.com/2900609-micro-niche-dropshipping

ranked it on the 1st page

I'm pretty sure "flying fuck helicopter" doesn't have much search volume.. is that what you are on 1st page for?

Funny site though, made me smile for like 3 seconds.. can't imagine who would want to buy this though...

"Flying Fuck Helicopter" has 320 Exact Match Searches in G tool.

And I know its ridiculous and that was what I was aiming for. Something to get attention from people on Flippa and maybe some goofball will buy it.

The video made me laugh. However, looking at the "live traffic views" widget in the corner, I can see this is a very low volume site... must get just a few hundred uniques a day? Apparently, people don't give a 'flying fuck' about this website. :D Maybe you can sell it to some sucker who doesn't know anything though, based on the novelty factor?

It's a URL that isn't forgotten very easily, you have that going for you :)

No offense because I know you're just getting started but you need to study successful listings and see what they did. Market research is most important.

WTH do you have that huge link in the middle of your listing template? Every hear of url shorteners or masking a link with anchor text? WOW.

Your meta description and probably most of your text is copy paste from higher ranking sites. WHY, would you copy them almost verbatim?

420 is cute when you're in high school, not gonna impress potential clients with it in your selling account.

A green Staple's easy button is the best avatar you could come up with?

No attachments in the listing. Hint: buyers are lazy, put the screenshots under their nose backing your claims.

Seriously what is with the title? You most prime real estate on Flippa has 80 characters, make that shit count. Don't put basic tags in the title. There is a place for tags. Find something positive about your website and hammer at least 3 solid points up there. 4-5 are better. Again look at successful listings and notice NOBODY that is successful just drops tags in there. You wasted your best location to catch buyers.

Google Page #1 - Top RC Helicopter Website - Drop Shipping $10/Sale

That's just to give you an idea but that's 3 points. If you had decent backlinks, good traffic, high pageviews, decent Alexa you hammer that shit up there.

You have just images in your sidebar widgets. Hook those up to your affiliate link. You're wasting real estate. You goal is to get your visitor to click about anywhere on that home page and find Amazon through your link. Not stupid pictures that go no where.

Get 5-10 pages of content on that poor site. That's terrible. I'm sure in just a couple hours you can scrape some content about those helicopters and rewrite the content. It doesn't have to be fancy, just something more than one page.

Drop an iframe Amazon aStore on a page that shows a large variety of RCs. Take you 5 mins to make an aStore and drop the link on a page.

Ok, I'm done and tired but don't waste Flippa fees on a poorly listed and built website. Do it right or you're just tossing money in the shitter. Flippa will love you for your donations but don't expect to bank.

Stick with it, study, study, study all the successful seller's listings. Forget that shit Flippa tosses on the Just Sold page. Scroll to the bottom and click the link on that page that says show all listings. Now study the $100-$500 listings. Find sellers that consistently sell in that range just about everything they list and notice their methods.

A wise old man once told me; it only takes 1000 hours to become an expert at anything. Work at it full time and in 3.5 months you'll be an expert at it.

Good luck and before you get a bid, at the very least clean up your title and description to give yourself at least a chance of breaking even or making a few bucks.

Funnily enough, I came across your site in Google search while I was looking for something else.

@kvmcable, a lot of great insight!

Anyway OP, if you want more traffic you should build your site around the "f@(k" part of your keyword ;).

Just kiddin',
D.

Yea I have never seen a site like that on flippa, that really should attract some attention. If you were aiming for ridiculous, you hit it out of the ballpark haha

Op i saw someone posted on there that they wanted 300-500 of the rc choppers.Did u get the order?

The cat was just looking at it like... "This is a new one..."

If someone can sell instagram, a 7 person company with no revenue for a billion dollars, then, my friend, there is no limit on what is possible.

I facebooked them privately and wasn't able to close a deal. I think they wrote it as a joke.

But I did get my first sale from the site today,so I made $25. LOL.

I know my Flippa ad is terrible but you cannot change them once they are live apparently (I always learn the hard way).

If you do buy it, you can go to one of deadmau5's videos on youtube and promote the page.
He actually has a video with one of those rc fuck helicopters

Edit: here's the video

So I tried to leave the dot com in a comment but it wouldn't allow me too but I tried anyway as:

flying fuck helicopter com

Thanks Man!
