I got one niche + kw which has 4.5k US searches and 8 $ CPC, 2 weeks back from AHREF.

Before going online, I started with local WP and wrote around 25k words. Today when I checked the KW again in ahref the KD is showing as 70.
I have no idea how the KD changed to 70 from 6 in less than 10 days.

That is why it is important to manually check SERP result.

If possible also check on other tools.
 
I contacted them yesterday, they told me that they had some bugs in their system.
 
It looks like they show random value for KD. Very funny.
 
it can have 0 KD and 90DR Websites ranking #1 for the keyword. Manual checking will always be reliable
