Flood in Poland

You are the only one which play smart in this thread without giving an real argument.
As was stated above, what happens in many countries cause of so called Boris Cyclone is kinda isolated only on some parts of affected countries, cities areas so on. Which basically means some rivers on those parts been flooded and not managed as should been. Nothing to do with climate change here.

So if you want to drop your two cents, do it with some arguments not just playing it smart like you know all what is going on in this world and rest of us are just apes.
Dude, where did you come from, woke up with a bad hangover this morning that affected your otherwise lovely attitude? Go ask mommy for som Sunday milk and cookies.

You can see more in first tag of this video ;)

I am in red on North last red area
But this water from South will come to me in next 2 days.
Good that I am living 2km from river on 5th floor, but can be energy or internet breaks

Currently few small cities or under water
Stay safe! This is crazy. My old city in red. Seen some videos of my favourite supermarket all flooded, this is surreal. Called a friend that still lives in Poland and is pharmacist, but in another building, she seems safe thankfully. What's up with half the country being affected :o

Problem is, all those Dam's are old, some of them older than us. There always been floods and heavy rains. No one prepared properly after them.
We people think we are smart, we create lot's of tech shit but we forget that we can't fight mother nature when start to play real and unleash the real power. On other hand we keep playing with the HAARP and yeah mother nature response is not so easy to take. But since we do those hide and seek with the nature then we need to be prepared for the outcome.

But man no one cares to redo the infrastructure of those dam's or at leas to clean all the rivers and build a program to link all the rivers to can control the water flow when start flooding. All of those are in the power of man kind.

Czech Republic is dangerous for us
Currently we have flood, but they not released water yet from their safety system.
If that happens, 40% of water from Czech Republic will go to us via rivers.
the same as in 1997...

ye it's crazy currently! also most people just get surprised by it! we got some crazy weather in austria aswell

and to @RoiBox , i find your behavior very arrogant and you should turn it down a little bit. you are the one (indirectly) telling people they are dumb because they are skeptical or question climate change, which is mostly a political term. And yes floods happen and in most cases it is quite the opposite of climate change, in most cases the cause is a dam overflowing or even breaking. Now you can't blame climate change because we put that dam there.

Poland have this unluck, because whole water from Austria, Czech, Slovakia and their safety systems going to us.
We build huge safety systems after 1997, but we cannot do 100% safe if Czech Republic not built it.
After this, we need to make deal with them to built systems for them on their territory.
One of our retention tank can take water of all systems from Czech.
Now we don't know what will happen, if they open their old systems and all this water go to us.
All depends to rain and how long it will be

So scientists are politicians nowadays, ok. Good to know.

Look man, your head's so deep in the sand, you can't even hear what's going on.

it's not that scientists are politicians, but there are alot of instances where political influence impacts the direction or communication of scientific research. funding, public policy, and even ideological pressures can shape how scientific results are presented or interpreted.

I'm not going to argue with you anymore as i don't want this to escalate.

Sounds like there is some work to be done, i hope they will fix all these issues. According to my weather news, it should stop in the next few days. until then, stay safe!

But it saddens me that since the last big flood in 97 there were near 0 improvements to the safety measurements regarding flooding. As far as i know they build a big tam near Wroclaw but nothing else (might be wrong here) and now people are losing they livelihood.

You are wrong, they built many systems.
Problem with current cities, they are on Czech border and it's impossible to place systems there.

It looks like those systems weren't the best after all. Lets hope its not going to be worse in the following days. Good luck man

Water is now coming to big cities Opole and Wroclaw. After that, to me
I am safe, but idk what will be in electricity or internet in incoming 5 days.

Some places in flooded city experienced 5m water wave

Cities who harmed the most are preparing for second wave from Czech Republic

Goverment started program:
$2000 immediately for everyone from flooded area
$100k for rebuilt every house
$1bln for help
Probably they will get also cash from European Union for rebuilt
