On second thought though trying to make enough cash to pay a car note, rent, and cover my food each month on fiverr is really dumb. No way it'll ever work. I recommend that no one ever list even one more gig.

Yeah, I'm a bit skeptical of the clone sights, I guess i see eBay as a "clone" which has a reputation of having buyers.

I might still try it in the near future.
 
I took some of the gigs I had on Fiverr a while back and put them on eBay just to see if I would get any nibbles and I had a few sales but not the kind of volume that was delivered by Fiverr, however I was able to charge more which of course is always nice.

If you do that's great, but I have a feeling it is no where near that level of performance judging by others who I have spoken to that do Fiverr. I really doubt you get enough business to sustain it or anyway near that level of performance.

lol, I am not making serious cash on fiver at all, but a gig takes me literally 2-3 minutes of work - just copy, paste, and push a button or two, so in terms of effort/reward it's well worth my time.....
 
Ah, if you think you cant earn money on fiverr. you are wrong.

- I started on fiverr in november last year. I was new to web design so I posted a gig - I will design a 3 page website for you for 5 dollars.

within one day, i had 1 order. I am not a coder and dont know shit on html. :) So, I use the WYSIWYG softwares like. - xara web designer, serif web plus 4, and wyswyg web builde 7.5 ( currently i use it). Left the first two as they lack features.
Now I have few of my clients become dedicated clients.

- So, my first order was for a small website. I did it. That lady paid me 20$ for my work, instead of $5. As, she liked the website, and I helped her on uploading it to her server too. ( she was blonde).

As i use WYSIWYG softwares - it took me only 2 hrs to create those three page website. :) I was happy. and I got into twiends, and got lots of twitter followers. And started promoting my gig there. And soon i started getting orders. :)

So, from that time, i started getting clients for web design. and i earned decent from them. Most of my clients paid around 20-30 dollars for the sites, as they really liked it. Mind it - in wyswyg softwares it take only 1-2 hrs to create a 3 page website. PM me if you want to see the samples. He he.

- Then I started logo design too :D - I am not a graphic designer - so I downloaded softwares like AAA logo designer, logo maker, etc. Played with them for some time, and here we go. I started getting few orders in it too.

- Then i started, selling few ebooks - only got few orders.

Got few orders for providing seo reports - used ALexa IPB for it (cracked). :D

-my finaly blast of orders came from - the website - worldsgreatestbusinessmind - open this site and u ll find the video where people can have their name on this funny video about worlds greatest business mind. I started doing this for people. :D Just record the video. I started getting around 7-10 orders in a day for it.

Ah, during this time, i made a mistake. one of my friend on fiverr wanted to know some method to earn money. So, I told him some other gig sites, and odesk, etc through message on fiverr. :D And FIverr closed my account. hu hu hu. :(

Now as i have already made some dedicated clients for my design, who pay me alot for their design needs. I dont really care about

I am not boasting of myself. I am trying to say is that, anyone can earn money on fiverr. if you are creative. If you are not making any money, just like i was in november. FIVERR is the best place for you to earn money.

- like, site design - people on fiverr dont accept you to give them high quality website for $5.00. and when u give them, they get happy and pay you more. First you can use cracked version of xara web designer - or serif web plus to make sites - and when you have earned enough money, you can buy better tools. I did the same. Further, as you ar cheap, many outsource their clients to you. LIke one of my client does now.

ANd they are good to create a porfolio for you too. :)

- there are so many tools and ideas. Just check the featured gigs. Most of the featured gigs in fiverr are the one anyone can do. YOu dont need special skills.

like, i saw. one person was selling Linked IN Connections. Which we have freely available on BHW. Download those files, and promote your gig. today, everybody want to get linked in connections.

Sell Twiter followers - use twiends. :)

One of my friend provide facebook friends. lol. What he did was he opened an account with facebook with name - Pamela Anderson - and few half naked pics of that whore. And got around 4000 friends. Now, if he get any order for facebook friend. He suggest his friends to add that person.

Or steal others ideas. :) Like i always do. he he.

Dont be negative - you arent loosing any money there. The one dollar they charge is just their fee. you still get 4$. :) Gaypal do steal 0.8 dollars.

maybe it's worth a test, but i if i were you, i wouldn't invest too much effort in the clones
i have the exact same 20 gigs on the 4 most "successful" fiverr clones (gigbucks, zeerk, uphype, tenbux) what i have on fiverr
sales on fiverr:sales on the clones: 100:1
there's close to zero buying traffic on the clones, just stick with fiverr (and ebay) where's the money at

lol @ gigbucks, they're still spamming my inbox after my 100% feedback account got banned because of 1 week inactivity, wtf?! why do i need to login at the first place when i always get an email when i have a message or order?!
they haven't sent any warning email before the permaban, they just simply banned the account :), banning their somewhat successful workers w/o prior notice seems to be the rule of thumb on gigbucks, i guess this is one reason why they're at where they're at

and no, i don't want my account back, they might have given it back if i'd have been asked for it, but i didn't bother with it

so in brief: stay away from gigbucks and you'd better to stay away from the clones all together, they don't worth the time & hassle

Have you broken over $17,500 since November from Fiverr?
That's about the amount you would make in that time working at McDonald's.

Don't get me wrong, Fiverr can be used to supplement your income (I wouldn't do it myself) but unless your outsourcing the labor (and I mean completely outsourcing, the moment you need to log in for a gig you lost any benefit of outsourcing) you really can't make anything significant.

There is nothing wrong with making beer money, but to call it a serious business, you have to make serious money on a regular basis.

I've heard this mentioned a few times. Not sure how true it is. I also heard it on the other end as well, buyers who deposit money and then change their mind. Some have no problem transferring it out via PayPal, some are forced to send picture ID and fax copies of credit cards which makes them uncomfortable. Not sure how true it is, but I wouldn't want to keep a balance there long.

I do use the PayPal payment auto approval, so I don't need to authorize each purchase with Fiverr, and I haven't had any problems over many transactions.

Ah, in my country India, working with Mcdonalds will get you only 3000 to 4000 $ a year. :D Yeh, I agree with you. As I said above, its a good place for newbies to earn some monies. :) Some Money is better than no money. with this some money, you can buy better tools and register to better places, and make more money. :)

i've never had a problem withdrawing money from fiverr
i activated the damn quickpay feature which was suggested in another thread, it's basically authenticating your paypal with fiverr, however i've never had a problem before this and i made a few withdraw requests until now, let's say around 20

i just can't see the motivation why they would ban somebody with $300 in his/her account w/ no reason, who obviously makes them money?
fiverr don't steal that money, they only freeze it for a few weeks then the banned user gets it: "Sellers will be able to withdraw their revenues from blocked accounts after a safety period of 45 to 90 days, depending on block reason, from day of last cleared payment received in their account and subject to Fiverr's approval."

Really interested in following this post...see how it works out. I've not used fiverr so far but it does look like an interesting side business to get in to.

I have eaned more than 1k from fiverr, i am quite happy with it
 
You have got to use Fiverr as your lead generator, you should have a complete backend system of upsells in place for the customer.

Webdesign > directory listings > SEO > etc...

No one is going to retire on $5 gigs alone.
 
Or go with some clones and get more than $5 on your gig
