Guy charged me $30.00 to create a flyer and then it comes watermarked with pngtree dot com on it and clearly say Demo demo demo demo demo on the bottom. How does he expect me to do a print run and hand them out with that on it. No more Fiverr for me tried it and got scammed

You can open a dispute. BTW Fiverr is very harsh to sellers. Many buyers who just order for a 5$ gig and ask too much work for it, threatening they will give bad review. It's very hard to be a Fiverr seller. Like you said. Fiverr sellers are a JOKE.

I'm sure the site has plenty of honest sellers but it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yes, I too had very bad experience there, I spent over $250 to buy some .edu .gov and some PBN links (from 4-5 different sellers) now after 3 months 90% of the links are either "page not found" or domain expired....

I just got a logo done on there that turned out great for cheap. Not all sellers are bad on Fiverr, just gotta find the good ones.

Wow. Good heads up, bro. That must have been pretty rough.

You are very bold to spend so much money on fiverr links. I`d be afraid for my website spam score first..

LOL I did it on an special request of one of my client, though I suggested him not to do that but he insisted........ :(

When you buy gigs on fiverr you must first read the comments (although sometimes they use fake ones) and check the gig ratings.

They are not all bad but you have to walk the aisles and see what is good and what is bad.

There are a bunch of folks here that sell on fiverr and I even have a family member that does as well and she provides what she advertises.

You should buy from one with good number of reviews.
The problem is that the seller ask you to give him/her a 5 star rating immediately after delivering the work and their work looks very legitimate at the time they deliver it..... In my case I ended up giving most of them a 5 star rating with good reviews because for 1 month after getting the work done everything was fine but later on the links started to get disappear one by one....... I am not saying that all the seller are fake but in some niche like SEO and link building you must be very cautious before placing an order.... *It's my point of view as per my experience, few people may not agree with me*

Try to think after you post something. Basically you said all sellers are shit, same as someone did here on BHW, blaming people who sell cheap links and complain they don`t rank and all the market is shit.
You get what you`ve paid for, you don`t like it, ask for a refund; nice and easy.

I know some sellers on Fiverr which do agency grade services on design and charge decent amounts.

FYI: 30 USD is peanuts for a custom quality flyer.
Welcome to the internet world op, now run!

Kindly mention who you are talking about or quote the message that you are replying to..... it creates a confusion here... :)

my thumb rule is first the WTB section on BHW and then if not here, buy only those gigs which have atleast 40-50 5-Start positive reviews :)

If envanto was not around, Fiverr would be weak for "designers"

Best not to assume anything on Fiverr. If you plan to order something contact the sellers first and ask questions.

One other thing to point out is if something as tiny as this deters you from using a whole site full of opportunity then IM may not be for you. Not trying to be a dick, just saying!

Also not too sure that you got scammed. You ordered a service for a flyer and received a flyer. If you were expecting something specific maybe you should have confirmed these things with him before continuing. sounds like you got a really poor service that is not going to help you but stating you got scammed is not exactly correct unless the persons gig specifically states they wont do all the things you said they did. Again assuming you wont get crap from some people wont cut it. If you feel it is not as described file a dispute with Fiverr and if they agree you will be refunded.

I avoid buying from sellers who are level 2+. Reason being is that the amount of orders they get means the quality can sometimes be lower due to their huge scale.

I ALWAYS purchase from new sellers. I make sure they're vetted properly such as their use of proper grammar, English skills, critical thinking and understanding of the task I want them to produce.

They will most likely always deliver above and beyond simply because they are new and are desperate for those 5* reviews.
