This is my first time using Fiverr.

I ordered a gig 3 days ago - sent all the details the seller asked for and have been waiting since. Today was the expected delivery date. The seller has now "Delivered" my order - with a message saying:

"i will start now, my computer had a problem - please wait for 24 hours"

Currently he hasn't done anything - however Fiverr is telling me "My order has been delivered". This seems a bit strange considering it hasn't.. Now my question:

Is there a "Buyer response timer" for completing orders - IE if I don't reject the order within 24 hours, will he bank the money (And not have to complete the work).

I'm 80% sure alls well and he's going to do it. Just wanted to check here as I know a lot of people use Fiverr. I don't have a problem with it taking 4 days instead of 3 - just the "Your order has been delivered" 30 minutes before it was due, with no end-product, seems a bit odd.

Any feedback/advice welcomed!

Yes, it could be a potential scam. I bet your seller's a newbie because FYI, it takes approximately 5-7 days before he could cash out the money. And if that were to happen, you will need to contact the support team within that 5-7 days. But why go through all the hassles? Just click on "Reject Seller's Work" on the order page and this will keep your order alive while he takes his time to deliver. If he doesn't reply, your money will be refunded back to your account automatically in the next 2-3 days.

you can reject that work if he fails to deliver it even after providing an extra day.
You can also see the feedback on that gig if anyone has purchased that gig before.

Just get your money back and move on.

Its like 5 bucks!

It's not the 5 dollars I'm looking for - it's the gig :D. Funnily enough the title said "Within 24 hours - Express gig".

The seller does seem legit and has good feedback etc. Cheers for the feedback,

Fiverr gives the buyer 3 days to physically accept delivery and file a dispute if they don't like what they received
Check seller rating, thumbs up on gig, seler level etc. and always buy from reputable seller.

you can reject it or wait for more time. I would wait since it is only $5. another tip is: always find multiple vendors just in case some can not deliver.

Maybe the seller needed more time and he didn't want to get it cancelled. Its normal. Just message him asking the time of delivery. Dont worry about the order being marked complete. If he doesn't deliver in say 48 hours you can ask for refund from Fiverr Support.

As Fiverr Support Buyers More Than Sellers Yu Dnt Wanted 2 Fear Anythin ;]

The seller is 99.999% scamming you. Reject his work, leave him a nasty message and fuggedhaboudit. Best of luck.

Fiverr is weird. It will give you 1order a day for a while and then stampede you with 10 orders in 1 day. If he didn't do what he did he would lose his express seller status. Like others said, give him that extra day....If he doesn't deliver then click on "Got problems?" where it says the gig has been delivered.

reject the work. it doesn't cancel the gig.. just makes it not complete so the count down for him to get paid doesn't start.

Btw what is the service? and just get your money back ;)

I'd wait for some time if he has nice ratings. Otherwise I'd cancel the order and chose another seller.

Don't worry i am also seller on fiverr some times need more time to send delivery i am sure he will send your order with 24 hours otherwise just reject the order

The seller sent you this message in the delivery box because he don t want to loss the express status

The service is Youtube comments/likes. He's a level 2 seller - and has changed the delivery time for the gig (So guess he's getting hammered with orders).

I'm pretty sure there is nothing dishonest about it - but can see how some sellers could try and scam others in this way. I'll give him the 24 hours and see what happens.

I do not see any potential problems here. Just wait and see if he delivers. If not charge back on him.
