I used to like Fiverr very much and used it a lot for backlink building.
It's simple to use and the services are inexpensive. . .

Did some 200+ SEO gigs as a buyer. Most Gigs had no (good) results, few had positive impact on my SERP ranking. Even after Penguin.

Now my account got suspended. Reason: Violation of Terms of Service. But I did not do any wrong. Never asked anybody to make deals outside of Fiverr or alike. . .

I just had to give URLs as link destinations for the backlinks I purchased. That seems to have triggered a false alarm and my account got suspended (as well as the ongoing 30+ already paid gigs of mine). The support system seems to be automized and just keeps on repeating:

"We are unable to reinstate your account at this time.
As a community and a marketplace, we cannot accept undermining our community by referring users to or promoting alternative services, when done not in accordance with our editorial guidelines and terms of service.
Users who violate our Terms of Service and get their account permanently blocked can receive their revenues (if any) after a safety clearing period.
Please contact us again in 45 to 90 days. We will allow you to withdraw revenues you may have left in your account at that time, after an account verification process.
You can read more about our Terms of Service here:

This is the crappiest customer care I have ever experienced in my life!
With that kind of attitude towards honest paying customers I hope they go down the drain. . .
So here is my bottomline: When you are using Fiverr.com for backlink-building, be prepared to experience something similar.

Anybody with an idea for similar services that I could use as a substitute?

There are few clones around, but they don't seem to have much content and very low traffic according to alexa.com:

http://www.skinme5.com
http://www.letsfive.com (in Spanish)
http://www.gigalo.de (in German)
http://www.fiverdeal.de (in German)
http://yoofive.de (in German)

Anything bit more promising that you know about?

I never used them and i dont like to use them because there is very rare chance of getting quality service and poor customer you reported just now.

fiverr has been a lot more strict recently. I have had a lot of gigs deleted after editing the gig as they manually reviewed it. They seem to be cracking down on a lot of things..

For 200 gigs you paid $1000 and you could have got 10 X $100 quality services instead and achieve better ROI as you say most of the gigs didn't give results. Do the math again and calculate how much did you pay per each quality order and move away from fiverr.

They are idiots. i have created exactly the same gig as someone on their first page and they send me message that it is against their rules. WTF? That was really weird.. it was basically just liking and positive commenting on youtube videos.

They're trying to abide by rules so they can take their stock public and watch it crash like facebook's. ;) The customer support isn't crappy, it is just that they have nothing more to say to you than what has been sent. You can keep annoying them by asking for an explanation, but you already received it.

They just hired a few dumb asses in their customer support team.

I don't really see what your problem is. Just open another account, it's not like you were the seller. Should take you 2 minutes.

Alot of people have been complaining bout fivver from all sides, looks like one of the many sites that have gone down the drain lately

It all starts with customer service and it all ends with customer service.
I once ignored the 'wrong' customer, gez how much crap I had to clean afterwards. :-)

If you have a few urls you put them in a .txt file(which can be sent in fiverr). Many systems will pick up on it if they see some urls in messages.

They just hired a few dumb asses in their customer support team.

I have to disagree with this. I have contacted customer support 4-5 times and every single time they have been nothing but knowledgeable, pleasant and quick to respond.

Fiverr's support is probably one of the best that I've encountered

100% agree! Have a new girl there from about 40 days that is on the wrong place! She don't give a .... for nothing!

I've only used fiver once for web development, paid $5 for a shop template ( didn't even have to be a template honestly, I just needed alignment fixed and didn't want to trial and error it). Guy sends me his skype (and I got hit with a violation for it... WTF) and tells me that he'll need about at least $75 to do it . Anyway, long story short the dude spent like a month basically telling me he was ready to do it every other day yet didn't do a single thing, had all the credentials etc to do it so there was no excuse. I had to draw the line when the douche was advertising on his skype 'joomla expert, fast work blah blah' at which point I deleted the ftp and backend account because the dude was just hella sketch. Luckily I found one that did exactly what I needed for half of what he wanted. The only real problem I had was the products didn't like up in rows properly, I didn't need anything over the top. Luckily I never lost any money on it.

You're just a buyer, you don't need a reputation. Ditch the account, and make a new one, all it asks for is email validation. Also file paypal buyer claim for all transactions you did not receive service for. If you don't win the claims then file a chargeback with your credit card (if you used a credit card to pay thru paypal) and they will surely give your money back.
