Hello Friends,
My two gigs removed by fiverr today saying its doing third party violation, its happened to me in past also and same gigs are live and doing very good, last time also i told them there are several same gigs why dont you remove this gigs, today i checked after a months and that gigs are still live, today my gigs removed again but same gig from other guy featured by fiverr and saying choosen by fiverr!!!!! I am frustrated, after loosing money on my start up i have only fiverr income and next month i have to pay my daughters school fees.
Question : Why fiverr do this ? if i did third party violation, then why others gigs are live and chosen and featured by fiverr ?
It happens all the time. gigs get removed but several of the same gigs by other providers stay up. The resons your gig have been removed are probably one of the following:
1) reported by a competitor, Fiverr only act on complaints. if a gig is reported someone will see the report and remove the gig (if they feel like it) if a gig is not reported then they probably dont even see it. They dont actively search the site for gigs that are not allowed for two reasons, 1) it would cost them a shit load of money and 2) they would lose a shit load of revenue.
2) a third party contacted fiverr to say you are breaking their TOS, you could be offering a genuine, moral and decent service but it could still be a breach of the TOS of another site which does not make it illegal but the site in question will contact fiverr with a take down notice and fiverr have to act. again these people only report gigs reported to them so it could be months until a gig is reported or even never while others are on a shit list and get seen straight away and reported. If a company like Pinterest say that this person is selling invites to boards and that is a breach of our TOS fiverr have to do something about it as Pinterest could sue, you all remember the Amazon review debacle recently where Amazon send CAD letters out to users and fiverr threatening to sue.
3) Fiverr have way too many of the same gig, they have told me they take down gigs if there are too many of the same one as they cant show them all and want a clean marketplace for their users.
Possibly it was a competitor who reported your gigs ?
Most likely the case.
I do not know about reporting ? can any body ( competitor ) report the gig ? if yes then why fiverr is saying that its a third party violation ?
Yes anyone can report a gig. Fiverr will only act 100% of the time though if its a CAD letter from an organization where someone may be selling copy-written material or trademark stuff etc. They have to act on ones like that but dont actively remove them themselves. they wait until they get a report for them.
Yes they are taking 20% we can not do anything because we dont have other option,
But they are removing the gig with wrong reason thats not good, lets raise our voice, lets file one petition and forward to fiverr.
LOL don't bother do you really think they will act on a petition from some IM people. NO they wont they dont give a flying FUCK about you. they just want their 20% so they are not going to listen to anything you say and will continue to fob you off with crappy standard replies designed to make you just give up and move on.
