First time selling a website

Hello.
I plan to sell a small website i have as i don't use it for years.
As a seller on Flippa is there something i have to be aware of?
I mean i am going to use escrow as i don't use Paypal so is there any danger getting scammed?

Any experience on this will help.

As i got some offers i bump this to hear the experience of other users. I see many people with new accounts contacting me on Flippa but as i only use escrow for the deal do they have a way to scam me there ?
 
using escrow it's almost impossible for you to get scammed I believe. However, I would try to avoid new users on flippa.

Make sure you ask for funds verification before moving forward.
 
I have a user with a 7 years old account but no transactions so far in my bids. I just avoid replying to new users.
 
Yes, escrow services are a must, sites like flippa could be a good option to showcase your site to potential buyers
 
You shouldn't sell it to a new user. Also, you should sell it with escrow protections to avoid scams.
 
I saw some stories that someone used escrow and the buyer after getting the website claimed is not what he was promised and open a dispute and won so he won the money and kept the website.
Is it something that can easily happen ? Any tips to avoid this ?

This sounds good. Never used escrow before so i don't know exactly how it works but as i have days in front of me i will check how the deal works there.

use esrcow only, no way you will get scam
 
Flippa is very secure also, as far as Im concerned they have their own scrow platform

Wasn't the name and other vital details of the website in question was mentioned in the initial agreement in escrow?
 
I just sold a site on Flippa for $2.5k to a new user. I didn't even have the option to use PayPal, only escrow.com It took over a week to get my money, but the process was very secure. Flippa has high fees too.
 
I get some offers to get paid in Crypto. I know scams can happen with crypto but they say to pay me to my own wallet. Is there something i am missing here? I mean getting a payment at my crypto wallet is totally safe for me right ?

Could be a scam if they get you to download something or use a fake scammy site that is actually their site to do fake deposit.
