First site - help with optimizing it

Hey, putting up my first site now, using xsite pro and want to optimize it.
I read many threads and searched much but havent found any thread that explains exactly what i should do to optimize it for the search engines.
Got keyword in url, keyword in title (header panel in xsite pro).

Read that it should be in h1 tags and in meta tags, how do i do that?
H1 tags is so extremely big that it is very ugly to write in it.

How and which meta tags should i write in?
Do i write in the meta tags at:
Web Pages -> Page Settings
And put keywords in:
Page Title, Keywords and description?

Also is .org equally worth as .com? Think it is but not sure.

It will be a site with affliate links to amazon and other sites, is it okey to put a trademark product on such a site? (a example is harry potter, not the thing im doing but its similar)

Is it a good or bad idea to buy backlinks and possibly traffic for this site? Want to get ranked fast, will submit articles but buying backlinks seem very fast. Some competition got ~50-100 backlinks on first page, the first spot got ~86000 backlinks though but dont think i need to be at first spot, just first page and preferrably just after that one.
Sandboxing sounds like i could get removed from google if i buy backlinks or post at many directories myself, but im not sure.
Read some say opposite though.

I also dont want to get punished or banned for what im doing, intend to keep the site for a long time.

Having the title, description and keywords set in place is the best seo you can do for your site.

The H1 tags font may be ugly as default but there are some tricks to make it smaller, just search on google for that.

If the product you want to list on your site is provided as a creative from Amazon then I don't see why you could not post it safely on your site.

If you build your links slowly and with diversified methods then there is no worry about getting sandboxed. Hope this helps..

for what is optimal and what is possible that i get punished for, you just need to read through the forums. It is too general a question to answer.

As far as the .org being as good as a .com, you'll hear a lot of people giving different advice about tld names. From a technical standpoint it isn't going to matter, google will index you the same either way. Myself personally, I think that a .com gives your site more credibility than anything else. I you are going with a memorable name that people will type in directly, then your going to lose a lot of that traffic to whoever has the .com version of your name. If you will be relying on links then like I said it technically doesn't matter.

As far as buying backlinks, there is nothing wrong with that, its a lot of work if you're not set up for it, and one of the easiest things to outsource. Just look in the bst forum to find someone selling that service, be sure to read the thread to see what kind of reviews the seller has. bookmarking services, directory submissions, backlink services there are many people selling those services on here. Just remember you can overdo it too. Too many, too fast can cause you problems like the sandboxing you're worried about.

Keyword once in title. 1 time for each suitable keyword in keywords, right? How many times can i write it in description and how long should description be?

I found abit more about h1 and css now.

Editing the h1 with css would be really easy, but im not sure how to do it.

OK, you should look at the thread I posted regarding the keywords because there is additional info and sources there. But the short of it is google doesn't really care about the keywords or description metatags. Supposedly adwords will use them to determine the ads shown if you have adsense set up on your page, and some of the other SEs still look at them so you still want to include them.

Just put a list of the keywords that are relevant to your site in the keywords metatag. Whatever words you decided to target base on your keyword research. Even if google doesn't care about the keywords meta tag, it is still a handy place for you to keep track of the words you are targetting. Just be sure that you are using those words in your content. Your content and backlinks are all that matters to google. Header tags (H1,H2,etc) carry more weight so you should use your keywords in them when possible.

Also if your unable to use them enough anywhere else then you can use a tag cloud somewhere in the body. If your making a static page, just put a div in a side column, or in your footer, and then copy whatever you have in your keywords meta tag and paste them into the tag cloud. Don't do anything fance to hide it, just put it somewhere that is not distracting. call it a Tag Cloud, Tags, Related Topics, or whatever so it still seems relevant to people viewing your page.

Google will in many cases use your description meta tag for the exerpt it uses when showing you site in the serps so you should make it be something that will catch peoples interest and make them want to click your link, but that is all google uses it for, it doesn't use the description tag when indexing your page.

A lot of people think you should optimize the description with your keyword also. Google says that it won't matter, but if you think they're lying then feel free to do so, it won't hurt anything and it might carry weight with other SEs. Just remember that it will likely be the excerpt shown when your listing shows up, so don't overdo it. Be sure to make it readable enough to get you clicked on by real people.

OK, well thats getting into basic html and css there. You'll be a lot better off doing a few searches on google to find that info for yourself. If you are going to be working with creating your own webpages your need to have some good resources besides just bhw for that. You should search for and find a few simple html and css tutorial sites you can use as references.

the bits of code you pasted show you have a little bit of understanding. just search for the specific thing your wanting to do and you'll find examples. It is pretty easy if all you want is to change a few of the tags you don't need to have a seperate css page, you can just include the css in the head of your page.

Read at another place about the h1.
They said to just choose heading 1 and then reduce font size.
When pressing the text it says "normal" in what type of text it is, that is why i though it didnt work but probably works as they said it on another site.
In the html code it says:
<h1><spanstyle="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">test</span></h1>

So is it right or wrong and does it count as much as a <h1>keyword</h1> or does most use a different way?

Something similar to that, would it still count when i put other words in the h1 to make it not look like spamming the word and can i be punished for it?
Could probably write it 5+ times on index page then, not including inside the texts.

Also using Main Panel Header and add the Home Page to: Niche Accessories would give 2 more i think. (one on top of all sites and one in the links in the menu)

Could also add a Main Panel Footer with the links to the product pages of some of the keywords i focus on, Niche Accessories and Niche Bags etc.

And also put a link to the home page (Niche Accessories) on the Page Footer.

And in content of index page i can add some Niche images and put Niche Accessories in the images. (do i set only alt. text or something else?)

Those things should also increase my ranking right?
Is it any more idea and is it possible that i overdo it by adding all these things and using same keyword for several images on same page?
Is it any software or site that can check if i have to many keywords on a page?(think it is possible to have to many)

Any recommendations where to find more affilate links?

So the text is centered above or below each image. Looks very good when its shown like that.

Only way i know of is to pretend its positioned right and use space to put it where i want it. I know i done it when i was younger, but that was long ago and think i didnt use any software, especially not xsite pro 2.
It looks decent but still not very professional.

Think i should use Niche before every word, and put them in a h1 tag for better ranking. Might be punished for h1 tag though since it will be no other text on the page, so will go with normal text for now.


Didnt allow several spaces, so it looked bad with the Bags, Books, Clothes texts. That is one of the reason i dont want to use spaces on website, might look bad for some people.

Trying to optimize the pages fully with xsite pro's recommendations.

My main keyword appears ~19 times in index page, is it bad?
My keywords:
MainKeyWordPart1 19
MainKeyWordPart2 19
Accessories 13
Products 12

After that its keywords im not focusing on for index page.
Density: 3.64% for the first onces.

Got 2 images with keyword in alt tag, 7 h1 (6 got main keyword), 8 links (4 got main keyword).

It also complain on my scripts, got 9. Think they are reducing the font size for my h1 tags and my tables. (7 h1 tags+2 tabels = 9)
Not sure if that is the reason, but will that have any bad effect for me?

My menu bugged btw, im not sure why. I cant see it and the screen flicker, or whatever its called, when i move the mouse over it.
Tested changing menu and run ccleaner to remove old files if they bugged somehow, but its still same problem.

Isnt it best to focus on main keyword on 1 page, second keyword on another page, 3rd keyword on a 3rd page and so on?
It says that i should have my main keyword on pages that i dont intend to put it on, like main page i want:
Niche Accessories, but on product page i want Niche Products and the different kinds it is.
Think it shouldnt be negative to only use Accessories on the index page but not sure. Only need that page to be ranked for it, other pages should focus on other keywords i belive.
