I have CPUMiner (minerd) running and it appears to be going fine in the console but in the "Gridcoin Mining Module" it doesn't seem to notice it. Any advice on setting this up?

There have been some major changes on how the block reward is computed. In the past the client only monitored Boinc load on the CPU, however now the reward is computed based on how much load is placed on the CPU and the average daily credits. So in order to get the 150 coins per block, 50% is calculated from the CPU readings and
the other is 50% is taken from the average daily credits.

The more the Gridcoin network grows the more power will be routed to Boinc science projects. So come and join team Gridcoin and put in your 2 cents.

For some reason this is not working on my BOINC rigs, maybe because I use CPU computing only?
Have to try it sometime again in the future though.

Today Gridcoin was added to coinmarketcap.com




So far the Gridcoin miners have done 36,000,000 points on various science projects on the Boinc Distributed Computing network.



Price is also up nicely today.

Samsung is doing something similar with the Power Sleep app and the University of Vienna. Has nothing to do with coins, but people are contributing their phone(s)' processing power to help with something as well.

There was recently a hacking attempt on the block chain of Gridcoin using the cpu mining system. The cpu mining system has been taken down temporarily until new security measures are implemented. Well, i dont think one should invest yet in gridcoin.. It's very new and you could lose all money in a matter of few moments..
