First offline SEO client! help!

Wow your family member is going to be popular at work when you fuck their websites up.

just make sure you do your proper research on local seo ahead of time. Should be a piece of cake to rank.

Thanks for the replies, some good tips in there spread out among the troll responses.

Let it be known I didn't go actively looking for offline clients, but when a company is paying $99/hr for someone to add content to a WP site and they aren't even ranking at all I'm pretty sure I will be of more help than harm to their website :)

Of course I will be going as white/grey hat as possible, but we all know that almost any type of SEO could be considered black hat especially in the eyes of Mr. Matt Cutts.

I'm gonna thread lightly and hope for the best, thanks again

The thing going for you is that your going to spend more time and energy trying to achieve the best. This is your first time out, we've all been there. Some things I've learned the hard way, establish base lines.. site visits, time on site, bounce rates. These metrics will help you, also set up conversion goals. I use mongoose metrics for phone conversion tracking- hint hint. Now go get this contract for $750 a month or more and report back with success!

First for local business think local and fix your budget for each and every project yourself. No person in BHW is partner for your company to know about your investment and revenues.
