I often find that people overcomplicate the whole Clickbank thing. There are really only 3 ways to do it to be successful.
1. Just as this post described - using organic seo.
2. Building a list and marketing to them.
3. Using PPC and sending the traffic to a nice review site or blog.
Article marketing is probably a close 4th, but I find that article marketing is best utilized to send traffic to a squeeze page and capture leads. Of course Hub Pages and all that other Web 2.0 is good as well but should be utilized just like articles.
The above 3 ways are how all the big dogs do it. People (Especially newbies) spend too much time buying up and downloading these "miracle systems" that promise to make you $100,000 a month and all you have to do is "click 12 times" or something ridiculous like that.
All you have to do is find a good niche that you can compete in and then find a product that pays more than $40 commission to promote. Once you do that, start writing articles, and working on your SEO for your review site and everything is going to fall into place. And no, you aren't going to "make $12,000 in your first month" as all of these ridiculous "magic button solution" products suggest.
All you have to do is visit the downloads section on this forum and download some of these "magic" products and you'll soon see the only people who make money from them are the vendors.
Personally, I make on average $2500-$3000 per month with Clickbank, and it's all from promoting one product that pays a $66 commission per sale. I found a niche, and started writing articles. Once you start making money, invest it back in to hiring outsourcers to start writing your articles for you. Keep scaling up, and pretty soon uyou'll be making a full time income from Clickbank.
It really is that simple. Stick to what works. It's made names like Frank Kern, Ewen Chia, Mike Filsaime, and Travis Sago rich.
