I know everyone’s been through it…
Mine was during my junior years. I had a crush on a girl for a couple of years. Deep down, I knew she was out of my league… but I still gathered the courage and asked her out.
Without hesitation, she told me she liked another senior guy from my school and rejected me right away.
She didn’t just reject me, she somehow made me hate another guy for no reason.
That was my first heartbreak.
Funny thing is… today I’m doing much better in life than that guy.
But honestly, a small part of me still hates him for no reason.
They didn’t end up getting married either, but I still see him around sometimes with my hate eyes :suspicious:.

Share yours, I’m judging all stories… I’ll rate the emotional damage out of 10 :anyway:

Did he knows about your existence at all? Like, back in the time, he heard about your story?

I mean, why would you offer free rent in your head for someone who's not in fault at all?!

I thought you meant like running a campaign and getting lots of negative feedback makes your heart break. Turns out you mean literally Heart break. Bro! That will only dull your sword!

Exactly, I’ve thought about it. I don’t know whether he knows my story or not
Back then, I used to compare myself to him a lot, he had this, I didn’t… he could do things I couldn’t.
Somehow, I developed this feeling. It’s not exactly hate… more like a kind of envy.
I think it's normal. but honestly it pushed myself to better version of myself.

that’s a classic origin story right there

The worst part isn’t even the rejection… it’s how your brain picks a random guy and turns him into the villain for years

But yeah, first heartbreaks hit different you carry a bit of that memory even when life clearly moves on and you are doing better.

To be honest the guy never did anything to you. same way she picked him over you is the same way your current girlfriend picked you over someone else. maybe next time, say hi to him, strike a convo if ever. he might just be a great dude.

Haha, that happened almost 20 years ago… no way it hurts now. Just curious to know others stories

yeahh, not exactly a villain but something can't just explain
Yeah mate, I get that 100%
Like you said, everyone goes through this at some point. That mix of rejection comparing yourself to another bloke brain just picks him as the enemy for no real reason
but the good part is you’re aware of it. Even still feeling it a bit, you can see it clearly and you’re trying to be better. Most people don’t even get to that stage
and yeah, the funny bit the guy’s probably just out there living his life, zero clue he’s been a villain in someone else’s story for years lol
I just think the opposite now
makes me wonder if there’s some random guy out there who hates me just because I dated a girl he liked. Bit of a weird full circle when you think about it
Lol, who knows someone out there hates me too

Maybe, it might change my perspective about him.
