First Four-Figure Day!

what's point of buildin email opt in list? I know basics but if we got for example 40k subscribers and we mail them once with product. Some of them buy it. Are they still potential buyers for next time mailing?

I want to know if building a email list is long term income. So if subscribers really buy more than once from you or is it just one time sell and for more sales i need more subsceibers.

Thanks!

I congratulate you on your success, but that coversion percentage is very poor (.07%).

Where are you getting your leads from?

My internet marketing list has 2280 subscribers, and I email them twice a week and make my weeks pay right there. Now, I'm not making 4 figures a day, but my conversion percentages are much higher.

I have 3 lists over 2000 people, and I send each list two emails every week.

The first mailer goes out on Monday and is strictly content. Maybe a free ebook, MRR product, video/audio, etc.

The second mailer goes out at 6pm on Thursday evening.

Here are my stats for last week (Thursday's email).

Internet Marketing List:

Sent - 2293
Opened - 561 (25%)
Conversions - 11 (2%)

Revenue - $306.90

Anxiety/Panic Attacks/Child Anxiety List

Sent - 1127
Opened - 153 (13.6%)
Conversions - 4 (2.6%)

Revenue - $176.00

Weight Loss/Healthy Eating

Sent - 1872
Opened - 316 (16.9%)
Conversions - 8 (2.5%)

Revenue - $232

Total Revenue - $714.90

Now, it's not four figures a day, but it's been gradually increasing.

These leads are mostly all targeted leads from article marketing and PPC.

I started list building 6 months ago.

My point is that it's taken me 6 months to get to a point where I'm making enough from my lists to just get by, but as time goes on, it will increase.

I feel it is better to build targeted leads. As you can see, my open stats and conversions are well above average.

I also have a very low unsubscribe rate.

I feel if I can keep this up, in another year and a half I should be making at least $2500-$3000 per week from my lists alone.

But props to you. you've done an awesome job and I can't wait until I am making that kind of money.

Out of curiosity, where did the majority of your leads come from?

Insult the OP and then ask where his leads come from? You are all class bro.

extremely inspiring...I really hope and aspire to hit that quadruple digit single day landmark one day....just curious, what's your next goal? 5 digits?

I've not quite hit a 5-figure month. That's the goal.

Actually, this is a great question.

People who have bought once are actually MORE likely to buy again, believe it or not.

As such, it is VERY profitable to build a list, and the more leads with a buyer history, the better.

Don't worry. I didn't think he was trying to be offensive. Maybe his manner was a little gruff, but his point wasn't inherently invalid.

And actually, the question he asked is pertinent. Lead origin (what he asked about) often determines lead quality. He suggested that my leads aren't as quality, statistically speaking.

In a way, I suppose I'd have to say he's right ... or at least they aren't as quality as his.

I do appreciate your post, though. Thank you.

Im seriously thinking about selling my blog empire and taking up mailing. This seems a shit load more fun. Blogging is a FCKN GRIND

I've got a pretty good lead generation method (list is about 40K large in about 7 months), but you've piqued my interest.

I think the point is that it's gotta take precedence. I haven't gone without sleep, but I HAVE stayed up until like 9 AM without realizing it.

Basically, what he's saying is that it pretty much has to become an obsession ... one so powerful that it causes you to occasionally forget to do even the most basic things like eat and sleep.

He's right about that, regardless of how he delivers it.

Tell you what, I've always been interested in blog money-making. Maybe we could exchange ideas.

o yeah! im sure everyone has pulled the all nighter a few times.
if not, you cant be taking yourself seriously.
shoot me an i.m. anytime, i had just added you actually.
id be glad to share

Congratulations! Email markeitng is where it's at! As a matter of fact, I just posted earlier on about a broadcast I sent out to my list early this morning and had my best day as well. Made $575.91. Not near 4 figures yet, but still much more than I would have made at my old job (about $220 for a 10-12 hour day).

And I never used article marketing or the search engines to build my list. I used JV giveways, traffic exchanges, safelists, forums, and blog comments.

But my main list builder is that I create entire MRR product packages (1 every 2 or 3 weeks). The product includes ebook, squeeze page, sales page, ecover graphics, MRR license, autoresponder series, etc. Of course, the last page of the ebook always includes a bonus that leads to one of my squeeze pages.

I then go on a mad giveaway spree. I put the thing on all of the giveaways I can find, free ebook sites, give it away on forums, put it as a bonus to my Fiverr Gigs, traffic exchanges, MRR membership sites, etc. I even go around to all of the internet marketers I can find and give it to them and ask them if they want to give it their lists. It takes me about a week to do this process.

About 2 weeks after that, sure enough the leads start rolling in. 3-4 a day at first, then steady 8-10, 15, sometimes 20 a day for a couple of months. My last product produced over 2000 leads in 3 months and still trickling in.

The key then is to give the subscribers great content and ply them with small gifts with a promo thrown in here and there. For instance, the list I broadcasted to today had 3,300 leads and it was my first promo in about a week. It produced 14 sales. I know that's still less than a .5% conversion rate, but the product was a $67 product with a $40 commission.

The money is definitely in the list, and once you have a large enough list of targeted opt-ins, you're pretty much in maintenance mode and just keep adding leads.

Also, what many people fail to realize is that you don't need a monster list to make $500 a day. All you need is 3000-4000 leads. If you have a good autoresponder series and don't overpromote, they will be responsive. I have a very low unsubscribe rate on all 5 of my lists.

Just want to say great job again. I think it's awesome that you've realized the power of email marketing and are obviously doing it right. Keep up the great work!

I am not trying to flame or hate I am just trying to understand. such a small list to make 1k a day? on top of that with clickbank products? and then you used to be an affiliate manager? Why would you not be using a CPA? I believe you when you say you are making this cash. However I am surprised by the facts you have prsented. your list must be one of the tighest/cleanest/most productive lists I have heard of. Once again I am not saying its not possible. Because like I said I believe you. I am just shocked. I tried email marketing a while back and found it to unproductive. I guess I should revisit the idea.

No sweat. I don't think you're hating on me or anything. :D

I'll try to do the best I can to answer your questions.

1. List is not harvested/scraped. It is opted in. A decent portion of it is buyer data, so I'm looking at targeted, up-to-date, active, and opted-in data.

2. Used to be an affiliate manager for one of the big guys in the biz-opp space. Hence the niche I've chosen, as I know all the big-name guys in the niche.

3. Finally, on to Clickbank. My list is a good one, and most CPA networks I'm on have mostly free-signup, lead-gen offers. Now I don't mind promoting an offer with a splash page, but I don't promote offers whose sole purpose is to get leads from my list.

Also, these leads are FROM Clickbank sites, so they're familiar with Clickbank and such.

Finally, I've noticed that the Clickbank sites I promote seem to convert better than the ones I've promoted on CPA networks.

I do still keep my accounts on the CPA networks, and I promote them occasionally, but what has worked best has been Clickbank offers, so they're what I promote most often.

There is more than just a list that makes Email marketing successful. Gotta have good deliverability, good-converting offers and a good email copy, complete with a high-open subject line.

And honestly, I talk to a lot of the gurus and they actually say my list converts like garbage. ;) Theirs does better quite often. I've seen their stats, and I know their list sizes.

It is entirely possible to make $1,000 per day from a list of just 4000-5000 leads.

On the other hand, I've seen lists of 30,000 only make $500 on a broadcast. It's all about the opt-ins and the relationship you cultivate with them.

First of all, the content that you give them to get them to opt-in must be outstanding. First impressions are everything, even in email marketing. That's why I always give out original ebooks that I wrote with all of my own personal experience of what has worked for me in the past. If you give someone an action plan that they can use to make money and it works for them, you now have a very loyal and engaged subscriber.

And it shouldn't stop there, either. Keep helping them make money. Don't make it be all about how much you can make off your list. Show your subscribers how to make money and they will follow you to the ends of the Earth.

Just because it's email doesn't mean you should be this faceless individual. I often send out an email with a small report I just created and and give it to my subscribers. Then I'll send an email out 2 or 3 days later and ask them how it was, and ask them to write to me and give me their opinion and ask for their input and ideas. The important thing is you always have to write back and thank them if they do. They've taken time to help you, so you need to show appreciation.

You want to really get your subscribers to love you? If they respond and send you an idea, create a small report around it and credit them in the end with a link to their website and then send that out to your list. If they get two emails promoting the same product, guess who they are going to buy from? You want to really win someone over? Take the same idea and charge $1 or $2 for the report and then split the proceeds with them.

Utilize MRR. You know how much money I've made off what I call my "$1 Offers"? I have a WP blog with a sales page theme dedicated just to making pages with these $1 offers. I'll set up a nice product on there and give away the whole thing, rights and all, for $1 or $2. Your subscribers will jump at the opportunity to get a ready made product to sell for $1. If I need a quick $50 or $75, all I have to do is set one of those up and send out a broadcast.

It's all about cultivation. I get a lot of my leads from JV giveaways, traffic exchanges, and safelists, and still I have a very low unsubscribe rate. A lot of marketers have completely the wrong attitude about those types of leads. They're people with money just like everyone else. You just have to give them a ittle more for free. So what. I've got 6 flash drives full of MRR and PLR. It's not a problem to send out an ebook here and there for free.

I sent out a broadcast today to one of my lists with 3300 subscribers and made almost $500. I only made 12 or 13 sales, but it was for a product with a $40 commission.

Point is, it's quality and not quantity.

That's great dude, nice job! Surely this must be a motivation for everyone like me, who hardly makes that in a year haha.

Otrap - Congrats!!! That's really great to see! I'd love to get there myself w/in the next 6 months!!
