Haha, I'm sorry but this made me laugh...now two people who didn't want a book on C++ programming are going to get it...you, and whoever you just mailed it to (because you're probably right, it most likely won't be the guy who mailed it to you).

No offense.. but I LOL'd in real life when you showed the picture of the printer manual.. i mean seriously what the fuck it's like ordering an ipod on ebay and you get a ballpoint pen in the mail.

"On 5/1 I got a package in the mail that didn't quite look right. So I opened it up and sure enough, no ipods. Instead I received some crappy Printer Plus manual book. I've included a picture below."

Honestly bro the only thing you can take from this is a lesson. But you did the right thing by offering to get a test first before you spending that big of amount. When things like this happen i always remember that the world is round and whatever you do to someone whether good or bad it will come back to you. Its just a matter of time before it comes back to him and when it does it usually comes back double. Keep your head up bro you are going to be fine

It is a Federal offense. File a complaint with the Postal Inspection Service. Also file a complaint with his state Attorney General. If he is in a different state you can also file a complaint with the FBI.

I guess but this guy obviously used fake names for everything so how would they ever know who it was?
 
If they do decide to actually investigate they will probably start with the IP address he used at this forum. One fax to the ISP with a LEA letterhead is all it takes to get the account info...
 
Don't mean to bump this old thread but while I was researching the other guy who scammed me here I remembered this and I just noticed that "thugkilla" still has not been banned and he is still logging in here. You can check his profile and see that he logged in today.

I think this guy deserves to be banned.

Can a mod do something about this?
 
Hard to believe that guy is still allowed here......should be instant ban for fraud.

Its crazy how many scammers are in our midst...its pretty sad. Cant trust nobody but yourself!

sucks that you got scammed by that piece of shit. as far as i know though, the mods can't do anything about dealings outside of the bst section. all you can really do is try to warn people that he's a piece of shit scammer and not to make any deals with him.

Even a private purchase should go VIA Ebay. Send the seller to ebay to open an account and go from there... This way you have some sort of protection.

I know this thread is really OLD, but if the OP, or anyone wanted to, they could file a dispute with their bank/credit card company and charge back.

It's a bit of a hassle signing and mailing in an affadavit, but most will follow through with a charge back.

that sucks though some people would go low like that, i agree he should be banned who cares if the deal didnt happen in BST, the guy is a scammer and should get out of here
 
yes, the deal doesn't occur in BST, but he scammed many here and he was online yesterday too. But did nt bother to reply here. So he agree what he does.

Deserves Ban.
