I swear I just wrote this last night. USE SOCIAL MEDIA. It is the best free traffic source for beginners.
you got the question wrong man , i'm asking how do i know that a website receives x% traffic from a certain site ?

You don't. You have to be the website owner and have an analytics script installed.
