Finding Backlinks if They Are Hidden from Tools Like Ahrefs or Semrush

Hey guys, need your help.

I recently came across a website that started ranking for competitive keywords in top 3 out of nowhere within a month or two.
Checking the domain in competitor analysis tools doesn't give any results because they show zero links for all pages.
I believe they are using some black hat methods to build links and earn rankings and I really want to find at least a couple of websites they get links from.

So, the questions are:
  1. Do you know if there is a way to see backlinks the way Google sees them?
  2. Do you know if there is any kind of source code search engine? I tried nerdy data and some others I managed to google, but they didn't find anything.
  3. Probably you know any other way to dig into their SEO game?

Guys there are ways to block everything but Google so if they are any good unfortunately you'll never find the links. But it's always worth looking in case they don't know there stuff :)

Edit: I'm winding those businesses down so I wouldn't use the tools sorry
 
To answer your first question:

To see the backlink profile of a website as close as it gets to how Google sees it, I would use a common backlink checker like Ahrefs, Majestc, or Moz etc. and a hidden backlink checker. First will get you all the usual backlinks and the latter will show you all the hidden stuff like PBN backlinks.
 
Short answer is no. There is no tool that can show you all links if the pbn owner is smart enough. That's one of the reasons I closed down pbn hunter.
