As for finding people in the US.

1) scrape US locations from:
https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/

Then use those to scrape profiles. However, you will get non-us tourists in those locations, but that may be negligible. For example, scrape disneyland sure you get tourists, scrape some inner city eatery and is most likely all US citizens.


2) Filter on the location property of the profile. Not everyone fills this in, so you will lose a lot of US citizens, but it is the only way to be 100% sure.



tl;dr
2 options, 1 returns potential a few non-us, the other misses lots



Probably (1) is better, if you target to specific locations. US FEMALE is very broad and probably not targeted enough
