Find good managed wordpress webhost provider?

You need to research what is managed hosting.

In resume in Managing hosting
1) They don't will offer you any theme, is just a marketing trick.
2) They won't fix any bug, errors inside theme code.
3) They won't programming anything for you in Wordpress
4) They won't fix any bugs, exploits, problems from Plugins or Themes code like vulnerabitilies.
5) They won't do special plugin only made for you
6) They won't provide any special theme, unless they have partnership or they bought and are doing that illegaly

The managing support will only work in your server side, like downtime, hdd or ssd replace, installing control panel, checking the logs for errors in server side or network of your hosting, checking why your website is down or slow, helping optimizing web server.

If you want to live in a fantasy you are good to go, those companies just use theme to attract people in fact probably is a FREE THEME.
Or a partner with some web designer or company with does web themes for wordpress, just that.

Research and research, this is my last opinion in this thread. If you want to have managed hosting then is all OK, but keep in mind they won't do wordpress code fixes, only like database going down, helping migrate your website or fix some MySQL errors.

But that is related with server side. Any problem with CMS that is related or caused by plugin, theme they only will suggest you.

That is the real. If you want to still follow up and believing in that. You are free, but don't come here telling us that we didn't told anything.

I have cancelled all my webhosting plans and email outlook plans in godaddy only have my domain there, so renewal next year will be only the domain. So I be more safe from their shady practice.

on my other second side project I have EasyWP from namecheap it's not bad but it is not really "managed" but they promised it as managed.

There are no automatic updates for core wp, plugins and themes must I do myself with plugins.
There is no automatic backups functions must do it myself a backup....is so sad this all...

I'm so tired of this so called "managed wordpress" I mean managed wordpress like nexcess is a good example, they make all the updates (wp, plugins and themes) and make automatic backups every week or so. With that I be happy they make my life more easy.

The rest this nice wordpress theme wizard ....I miss a little bit but I can live without that as a compromise.
I like website builders but it does not mean the webhoster making automatic backups every week or updates.
And most site builders I can only embedd stripe or paypal payment but I be afraid using them to get premium clients funds upfront like they paying me $20-or 40.000 upfront (is more like high ticket retainer) I be afraid stripe and paypal will block my account.

I can not use WISE or Payoneer with site builders what a shame, same with squarespace..or you pay another hosting plan and setup there a "payment page" and link from the site builder page to the payment page....
but this is not what I call "making my life easier".

So I use wordpress namecheap EasyWP is ok, way better is nexcess they are more close to an really managed wordpress service. Compromises and limitations all over the place here today.

Some webhoster have the sitepad site builder I do not know if this is a good builder and have good build in seo core, but I think when you change the webhoster to another host who has the sitepad builder too, you can import your layout and content from host A to another host B (my theory).

Hosting is one of the few things you need to not cheap out on
One of the best managed providers I personally have dealt with in the past and present are WPX and Rocket.Net
Cloudways is OK too, but at that same price range, WPX and rocket takes the cake
Kinsta is also amazing but it's price is much higher despite slightly less resources than the others.

Just remember, your site's hosting is your key to make $
if it cant handle the traffic, if it cant handle your site, if it's just a shit site, if the site goes down often, if cs is super slow
that will all impact your $$$

For example, one of my sites of a provider that i wont mention, overall, their hosting service is decent, but it goes down at least once a month.
In the past, i didn't have eyes on it 24/7, i checked my stat counters after i noticed it was down, and saw that it was down for a few days.
Apparently, SQL database was corrupted and unrepairable (according to the cs)
I told him to retrieve the latest backup (they provide daily backup)
they said, that the backup system was also malfunction, i told them "fix it", this was your "features" and part of what I am paying.
They put devs on it, found the corruption and fixed eventually, but it did take a few more hours before it was up and running completely. (There was other problems inbetween, but that's another story)
But I lost revenue down all that down time.
Will the hosting pay for it, nope they weren't.
I was feeling cheap back then, I brought a few years for a hundred bucks, since a friend of my recommended they were decent.
Yeah they are decent, but they come with their fair share of problems.

You don't want problems in IM, time is precious.

I would recommend, rebudget yourself and see what cost you can reduce for decent hosting.
Don't go for shitty ones just because they look "decent" or offer "amazing shit".
Get something trusted and stable.

Now I have for my main business found a good hoster: Nexcess

for my second project ( try to rank in bing) using EasyWP the Turbo plan I think I can live with that.

For little bit more comfort, backups I must do manually in EasyWP (!) I have watchfull tool for $2/ month.

NC loads page fast and really fast Nexcess

WPX is just barely outside your budget and does a way better job in my experience.

I use Digital Ocean and Vultr for all my projects but this time I’m trying namecheap hosting on my new site. Going smoothly till now.

For my main site I use Nexuses they make backups and I can restore it from their panel (I think so...)
My second project (to rank in Bing) now I have EasyWP Namecheap but backups I must do manually like 2x times a week and restore my site is with a download zip file I must then after upload to my directory which will not help when my wp site is crashed and I cannot login.(my theory)

Yes there are external solutions like Managewp for $2 /month backups will be created automatically there , scheduled, but restore is the same old boring with download a zip file...

For this scenario here looks Flywheel way better, they make automatic backups and restore within seconds from within their panel this will make my life easier so I will choose Flywheel for my second project. Only con side is, their Disk space is little bit tight I not know If I can buy more disk space when I need it and not must buy the whole next upgrade plan?

There are not many Wordpress hostess there who doing restore within same panel and automatic wp backups. I not know why, this should be an include feature in every Wordpress hosting/ managed Wordpress hosting plan.

My 2 cents: Stay away from SiteGround, unless you want everything to be timing out all the time (file transfers, cron jobs, a poor cPanel, the need to constantly flush the cache for every single change in the site, etc, etc.)

So much hype and my "shitiest" experience was with them. Oh, not counting that their offers are as low as $1xx to $2xx for the first year, but the next year is around $4xx, hoping that the customer already has a well-developred site and will find it difficult to move to another hosting and then paying the price (not me, lol).

I joined them because of their hype on speed but I have yet to see it. It was slower than my hosting with an EIG company.

Buy that's just me. You can waste your money on them to see for yourself xD

Flywheel is WPEngine's second hosting site
WPEngine isn't bad overall

Thank you for the tip, I like this concept from flywheel this is easy and the future, not boring backups and restore with zip file then upload them to your previous root directory which could be end in a mess.

Rocket.Net is the best managed WP hosting but it is very pricey. Not overpriced as it gives lots of features and performance speed.

Does a managed Wordpress hosting staging site uses the same Disk space?
So I will run out of disk space fast when doing weekly backups ?
I think staging site is not need in this way only weekly backups, then at the end of the month delete older backups, so that only one backup is left or so...

To flywheel do they use my disk space for staging site and backups? When yes, the same problem here, I will run fast out of space.

Depends on the provider
Rocket have it seperate backups to your site
They do daily/weekly backups, backups does not count towards your quota
you can also do manual backups if you want
Staging sites also does not use your quota and is not part of your "disk" or resources its a total different server.

Thanks for the rocket tip but they are out of my budget who is $9-15 max, for monthly billing

Had two live chats now

one with chemicloud sounds super their offer, they doing automatic backups on separate server limit to 10 days. But their monthly billing plan not has the huge discount price it is a hefty $12,95 but it match my budget ,live chat support super fast and helpful.

Super fast helpful live chat with fastcomet too, they have good offer wordpress hosting and automatic backups on separate servers and I have huge discount on monthly billing plans $2.95 the first month and not $12.95 like chemicloud. They make daily backups (no 10 days limitations like chemicloud).

Fastcomet sounds good for my second project (to rank in Bing).
For my bigger main project I have nexcess.
I think I will give fastcomet a try.

Had reading reviews ,they have good fast server response and their server can handle the stress test.
Fastcomet downside is they have Litespeed cache, memcached, opcache only on the higher $19.95 plan arrrgghhhh....restrictions overall.

But I have good cdn (keycdn) and I use jetpack boost a super free plugin who really bring down critical css when you have finished your wordpress design and make the page loading blazing fast with keycdn. Many free plugin promises reduce render blocking scripts but they do nothing, the render blocking scripts dancing happily on gtmetrix and other page speed sites (like google insight) jetback boost is super and keycdn is a super cdn for a cheap $4 monthly basic fee.(rest is pay to go)

With Nexcess I not need keycdn their own cdn is icnlude in the plan.

Now today I have tried the famous cloudways have email hosting on Dreamhost and domain on Porkbun.
Point via A record my domain to the server ip.

But enable ssl is not working in cloudways it cause an unexpected error. Use their live chat, many bot questions coming up before I get an human agent. They say my records are fine in Porkbun but they not know why DNS prolongation is not working on Porkbun. - have deleted this complicated server thing.

Had good live chat support on Dreamhost they gave me good discount on monthly billing and have automatic backups include
their unlimited shared hosting plan not managed wordpress (a little bit too pricey) have a clean custom panel.
I only must setup their nameservers in Porkbun that's all to make their emails and ssl work on hosting plan.

I like that they have DreamObject a storage place here I can store my wordpress images instead of the wp media library who will slow down my site and make my hosting disk space full. When I have done the math right 1Gb storage is $0,005 then 100GB storage will be cost $5 month?

So for my second project (rank in bing) I will choose Dreamhost. They have good fast page load and server response too. (had reading reviews) .

I not understand why so many people praise this complicated cloudways, I be sure when I setup email with smtp wp plugin and my Dreamhost email connecting to sendinblue provider via smtp too ,that this will cause many issues, so cloudways is not an option for me.

Maybe you have better experience than me, but you see finding a good webhosting is not so easy today, they are very creative creating restrictions and limitations.
