Finally reached $100 a day

Hey everyone, just wanted to stop by and give everyone an update on my progress and success in the BHW. I have not been too active on this website, more so just browsing and trying different tactics that others have suggested. I too use to be in the mindset that I would not be able to make it in the IM world and asking myself if its too saturated already? But I soon learned that its not, its just a mater of learning what you are good at, applying it and how exactly to make the best out of it.

Ive tried everything...adsense (only have made $25.00 in a few months), consulting ($300 in 8 months), sale/resale of templates ($25.00 in a year). But it was not until I realized what Im good at which was finding products that are reasonably priced (either wholesale, drop-shipped or bulk lots) buying them, splitting them up and being able to market it effectively. So far Ive found a few products that Ive marketed and made a nice chunk of change with.

I am averaging around $100 a day, some of my lower days will see about $45, but I never have an off day from seeing some sort of sales. Im not here to push the products that im selling, but here to simply help those who want to start somewhere, may need guidance or a simple nudge of inspiration to not give up and keep trying different things. Im here to listen, give you suggestions, and even help you look at what you are doing with a fresh pair of eyes....it could be as simple as you missing something in an already perfect equation.

Congratulations Lastwinter!

Great to see you never gave up and kept at it.. you reap what you sow and clearly with your hardwork it all payed off.. Im a noob and just beginning my venture but I would rather learn without anyones help.. I like to be independent.. but again congrats and keep at it.

oOULTiMATE KhANOo- I appreciate the response..definetely read everything you can! It helped me a lot because along the lines you will come across something someone is doing and it will just click in your head to do things just a smidge differently and BAM! thats where your idea will come in and start generating you some nice return.


EmpireQuality- Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I actually was running an online store for a while for clothing but then realized that because of the amount of products I was getting involved with I needed more of a "mall" type website that carried everything...problem with this is you cannot do too much marketing when it comes to carrying that many products and the workload becomes a lot (if you have the time). So I focused on a few products (popular ones...i.e TWILIGHT shirts/hoodies, etc...and found a way to get them for around $10 a hoodie and $3 a shirt....granted it seems pricey off the bat but I was able to move them to niche markets (fan sites, ebay, local auctions), and was moving them for 3 times the cost. Granted this happened in waves and will most likely pick up again with the new flick coming out...but I was able to pave the channels for this then so that when the new movies come out its primed and ready to go. Since then ive found an even cheaper supplier and get them waaaay below cost.

$100 in sales or $100 in profits? There's a huge difference.

What kind of products? You're really not giving much information - don't reveal your niche though.

MakeLemonade...its $100 in profits....my sales are around $135 a day, and my cost is relatively low...depending on a few factors I average $90-$100 in profits. Sorry for not clarifying that earlier

Congratulations, Awesome to hear you are doing well. This is good motivation for anyone not making a ton of money yet. Keep scaling it up.

Funny that you ended up in the gear business after trying adsense, I wanted into that area but day to day living poked it's nose in and my capital was gone. I'm starting an adsense site tomorrow, it's not my primary interest but I'm hoping to make some semi passive income from it. lots to learn and lots to do first of course.

When i was looking into sourcing t-shirts and tops originally, I came across printing sites etc. but the prices where always outrageous. If i start to earn a bit of capital down the line, would you mind if I pm'ed you regarding sourcing plain clothing? Of course you could make a commission I imagine.

That has really been what Ive wanted to do. I've had designs floating around in my head for ages from anything to jeans, t-shirts, hoodies etc..

Quite funny that i happened upon BHW, that if I do eventually begin to make my own designs, BHW will be instrumental in getting my site ranked fairly well.

Hey skadster...yeah it seems especially if you know what you are doing the clothing business and that type of field is a true money maker. I would absolutely be up for helping you in any way I could. Its funny you mentioned that too with the costs..because a lot of businesses out there charge an arm and a leg for production whether its printing them, getting the designs actually made, etc.

Here is a breakdown of my overall costs...if I got my designs printed by someone its $30 screen fee (AND per color) and a few bucks per print. So right out of the gate a design with two colors will easily cost me $75 not including shipping and per sheet of the print. Then to have someone print the actual designs on clothing can range from $10 a shirt..leaving you only $5.00 profit if you are selling them for $15.00.

I offset this by BUYING a heat press which ran be about $400 and has all the bells and whistles (pain in the ass to learn but im one resilient SOB), so I can print when I need, how I need and the amount I need without having to wait for the turnaround time. Then I made some contacts with manufacturers in vietnam, cuba, mexico and am able to get t-shirts, hoodies, etc DIRT CHEAP...

I still have to pay for screens and getting the designs on paper to be printed but Id rather have that end of the work done so its all ready to go...(plus a friend does it for me for a pretty decent fee)

So whenever you are ready just PM me and Ill definitely do what I can to help you out and get you in contact with some people if im unable to steer you in the right direction with certain elements.

Yeah started looking at a heat press too, it just makes so much sense financially. I love that you manage to get contacts Vietnam, Cuba etc. Shows how small the world has become and what persistence can do.

Absolutely! I did not even have to take a trip over there, only one or two skyped phone calls (saved money there as well lol). As far as the heat presses go, you can even check amazon, start with something fairly basic and you can always scale up. I know a lot of people that started with a $649 machine and up and they had a hard time making it back, especially since the machine did so much. You can probably find one for $199 or $299 and be in the right ballpark for something that will be a great starter machine and not break down on you.
