I think you are wrong, Richmanhof guides are scattered all over and some of them are duds i.e they either don't index or are removed quickly. I think there is value in OP's thread because it distills the grain from the chaff to give people a chance to work on links that will work.
You can rank with only these links for medium and low competition keywords.
Definitely. Most of my keywords are on page 2 and bottom page 1 for low competition key words when only using Richmanhof freeby links.

Unfortunately, Hercampus no longer works. They have closed this loophole and removed all the articles this week. Those of you who have created these links on Hercampus can go back there and check for yourselves, if they are still there then they'll be gone soon anyway.
Unfortunately, this happens with free guest posts sometimes, so it's a good idea to audit your backlinks once in a while to see which ones have been removed.
