I'm just sick and tired of all these account farmers just rewriting someone else's comment just for the sake of account farming. Check out any new thread and a big percentage of the comments come from users created in the same month, just lazily rewriting someone else's words.

Why can't the webmaster of BHW create some restriction, like being a user for at least a week before commenting, or even better, filtering out comments from new users. It's ruining my experience here.

Have you reported them?

fr it’s wild how many bots n farmers just copy paste the same stuff like nobody gonna notice. every thread look the same now. they should def slow it down for new users or add some filters cuz it’s lowkey killin the vibe on here.

I haven't thought about it, but what's the point when it's so easy to create an account and start spamming a bunch of comments? There needs to be some restriction in place.

I agree. It's destroying this forum.

There are restrictions in place. Which we enforce when we see said accounts / posts or when they are reported. We can't have eyes everywhere. If the whole community took the attitude of "what's the point" then there would be a hell of a lot more of it than you're seeing right now.

I report them and often get the reply 'no rules have been broken'. I think something really has to be done to combat AI as well, this forum is going to end up only fake AI accounts talking to eachother if something isn't figured out

But not always. Not everything that is AI on the board is breaking the rules.

The subject of AI on the board is something we are reviewing at top priority right now. In the coming days we will be polling the forum on the subject and getting an overview of the community's views on it and what they may or may not use AI for.

In the meantime, report or keep reporting.

I'll start reporting them whenever I see them.
Where do they use these accounts after spamming comments?
Most likely they'll claim to be experts in a subject to sell services which they are obviously aren't competent in, or not deliver anything at all.

That's really great to hear, looking forward to taking part in that

This is highly frustrating, and I'm aware that many seasoned users like yourself share the sentiment. What you're describing is an increasing problem, especially on boards like Black Hat World (BHW): "account phishers," accounts that join boards for the exclusive purposes of commenting, being noticed, or putting up links, creating more noise than substance.
You're exactly who we're talking about lol
