FF running instead of IE

Hi All,


You know that with many tools stuff runs on the background and they are always using internet explorer for this.

Is there a way to have tools doing their job trough firefox, as my firefox is running way faster with loading and stuff as internet explorer?

Appreciated

It is probably because it hard coded into the source of these tools. You won't be able to change that.

Unfortunately not.
IE is easier to embed,
thus many tools / bots are developed using IE automation.

don't install any toolbar, and
try tweaking your IE,
there's a lot of cool tricks to do this, depending on your OS and IE version.

I don't think it will work but just for fun try renaming your original ie.exe and replace it with portable firefox and name that like the original ^^.

I guess the tools might have been coded with .net and using the build in browser component which will be using IE.
