Few questions before buying Scrapebox

After reading a lot reviews and positive comments, I am just about to buy Scrapebox, but before I do, I want to ask you about

Scrapebox & Proxies?

So, everybody says "you will need a lot of proxies", "you have to buy $xxx proxies", etc.
I would like to ask you (sounds stupid, I know) why proxies are so important while using Scrapebox. I know it's about protection, but why I will need more than just one, even free, proxy? In which cases it is so important?

Because google will block your IP when they see a ton of scraping is coming from it.

I haven't use SB in a long time but I remember using free harvested proxies and it worked fine.

you can use public proxies to scrape , but to post your need deadecated proxies to hide your identity

deadecated proxies are very powerfull and hide your identity, they also have the power to scrape more info as there stronger then public proxies .

you can use scrapebox to scrape proxies that
are stronger then used public ones just used less from ppl.

bing scrapping is better then setting to google.

scrapebox has loads of free features plus prinuem features to do loads of tasks .

scapebox is used to do seo but becouse of so many added features free and prinuiem it also used for internet marketing .

it a very powerfull tool .

as it used so much there so many tutorals on the internet , video and written .

the price is so cheap , it a no brainer ...

the application is updated a lot and the support are 100% bang on.

the only draw back is like any application , you need to learn each plugin to benifit from it full power , sometimes you need to use many plugins to do one task to get perfect results .

the tool should be used on a vps as it very powerfull and take resources can be left 24/7 scrapping links , and that not good for a home pc being on that long , but most people use it on both .

the application comes with 1 licence and you csn swop it ftom a home pc ans vps , but if you do that you need to reset the application .
you can buy another licence contact support i am very sure your get a good deal , there very nice application programmers and grate support team

Buy it, you won't regret if you know how to use it and as far as proxies go little bit of search on free proxies can help you with that one.

Proxies are needed sometimes to avoid roadblocks.

Depending on what function you use and what platform (website/ search engine) you use/scrape, you will adjust 2 things:
- settings; like number of threads, delay, etc
- and proxies

For some functions where you don't need much precision, you can use public proxies that you can scrape.

I recommend you watch a couple of videos to understand a bit about how it works.

I am just before buying it, but the only problem is that I just read many positive comments & reviews, but don't know exactly how to use it. So any ideas/helpful threads/etc. will be welcome.

The only software which is very under priced and goldmine is scrapebox .

The short answer is most functions do Not require proxies.

the only function that "requires" proxies is posting. So fast poster, contact form poster etc... From a technical standpoint this function will also work without proxies, but the reason for using proxies is complaints.

If someone complains and you do not use proxies, your ISP takes the complaint and they can cancel your internet and refuse to sell you internet access. Clearly thats bad. So you use proxies so the proxy provider takes the complaint. Even 1 proxy is sufficient for this purpose, but it needs to be private/shared. It can't be free/public as those can go anonymous or give your ip at any point and defeats the purpose.

Besides 1 proxy is probably only a couple bucks, or 5 is probably only $5. At any rate also private proxies will put your success rates in the toilet when posting, success will be very low compared to what it could be.


Any other function is just about speed. So more proxies, including free ones, allow you to go faster. Scraping from google works fine with a big enough delay, where as if you want to go faster add more proxies. Thats all.

Some functions are pretty much not practical though without proxies. For example trying to scrape yell from the yellow pages scraper addon. You can get half of 1 locations and keywords worth of results and your ip will be banned. So if you want to get like 50 results a day, thats fine, but its really not practical if you want any normal amount of results. Most other things though if you go slow enough its fine.
